They're pretty good, especially the ones which have 9 carriages. The HST are still the best though. Wider isles, softer seats, a separate carriage for bikes and another for snacks and hot drinks.

Great Western Railway are you sure? Firstly, I asked someone on your social media team yesterday and their response was “as long as this doesn’t block aisles or doors this shouldn’t be an issue”. Second, I have also carried it on numerous HST services without objection from the guard so why does a new train change things? Thirdly, I’m pretty sure no other UK train operator bans their customers from carrying cellos, not even the London Underground which is generally a lot less spacious than a class 800! So could I have the OFFICIAL line please because I have been told opposing things by staff on different social media platforms This is important because I need to take it from London to Exeter and do not own a car! Thanks

This is because the IET Is designed in a different way to what the HST was. That's why it had to change 😁 however there should be space in each coach to store your possessions 😊 (usually at the end of each coach) I hope that helped in some way 😊
