I really hope this project comes to fruition. This is a nice and easy way to electrify those branch lines which may not be worth using overhead lines or third rail for. All the best with this GWR! We saw these trains at Reading depot the other day and they look smashing

What chance of seeing these in Cornwall on the Falmouth, Looe, St Ives and Newquay lines and the Tarka and Avocet lines in Devon maybe. Would be a vast improvement on some of the current rolling stock.

fun and games until you realise you can't bring your own electric bike, scooter etc. because "it will catch on fire" but they can run a whole train with the same battery tech

I think that you should introduce the Class 230 Battery-powered trains on the Slough-Windsor & Eton Central, Maidenhead-Marlow (via Bourne End) and Twyford-Henley-on-Thames branch lines.
