STORYLINE:
Air raid warnings sounded in Kuwait City on Thursday morning, as Saddam Hussein launched his first retaliation to a US air assault on Iraq a few hours earlier.
As the sirens went off, people on the street could be seen wearing gas masks. The alarm lasted a few minutes
Iraq was said to have fired a Scud missile toward a US troop position but it was intercepted by Patriot missiles, according to the US military.
US troops in the northern Kuwaiti desert donned gas masks in response to an alert caused by the missile but were given the all clear a shortly after.

I was brought up in kuwait. These sirens were in 2003 when us staged a war on Iraq to bring down Saddam .

I live in kuwait and i never heard any And people tell that that day nothing had happened and there was even a sound bomb throwen near a mall while there werent anybody out at the morning .it was a provacation against iraq

PlanesAndSirens actually this one is a 7000 series, not a 2000. (Model 7026, to be exact). That big box covering the blower is a backup generator
