i think for the k-on figures, it'd look nice to set the main band up like they're doing a performance on one shelf, and then have everyone else on the other shelf. you could use a riser for ritsu and put her in the back, then have everyone else in front. azusa might also look good with a riser to give her even more height!

I really like union creative. I got the albedo so bin illustration and it is my favourite figure. One problem it had a ribbon missing but amiami shipped for free a whole new one so I gave the barely defective one away - we just fixed it with some velvet string

I have that same Fuziochoco artbook coming through Zenmarket along with another older one by them (slowly, shipping SAL cuz parcel was heavy & pricy Dx). You can find the artwork from Myethos' Little Mermaid in there too! I mainly got it to own the Ghost Bride art cuz I'm so hyped for that one to release :) The colors are stunning, can't wait for my copy to arrive!

I started my collection with Art Books and so it was nice to see you show those. That first book definitely looks amazing so I might have to get it... but now I have to recommend two things for you: A Bouquet of a Thousand Flowers: Art of Senbon Umishima - Random book I bought expecting nothing and now it is one of my most favorite artbooks. Wide variety of illustrations and they are all quite amazing I definitely think you would enjoy it. Girls' Frontline OTs-14 by Reverse Studio - Amazingly beautiful figure by a new Chinese company. It is the first figure they made and it is easily Myethos/Alter quality and arguably the one I got is probably the nicest figure I own. (over 100 scale figures now...) I believe you would also appreciate that the base, which looks bulky in the preview pictures, is actually a music box. Did not even realize that for some reason when I ordered her. You can display her and the music box separately or she can be on top of it. Not even a fan of Girls' Frontline and don't really care about guns, but absolutely adore this figure.

I ran into some chinese bootlegs, and I felt like checking out how the quality is these days (Unsure if I had ever bought any before). It was 4 figures, for about $30 each, which is next to nothing compared to real figures. Also labeled as valued at 4 dollars on the package, so for once I didn't have to pay $30+ extra in import taxes. And with free shipping it all didn't really cost over $120. - Naked Apron Sonico. Not too terrible. There is a small gap between her lower half and upper half connection points hidden by the underwear cast-off, which is not in the real version. The connection points on the apron is classic impossible small hole and small peg that I've seen a lot on cast offs even on official designs, so bad but not worse for being a bootleg. - Alter Lala with short shorts. This one kind of blew my mind. It looked very high quality, with the only low quality being the bootleg transparent top which has the same bad hole and pin design to connect, and it just seems to be too short to really be possible to hook it up. But it works as a unhooked top bra design. If bootlegs held this quality, they could probably compete with officials. (Though I believe the details in shading are higher in the original). - Garage Kit Naked Nami with towel. I didn't find any official designs that matched this, so most likely a garage kit. That is also supported by the fact that the body to leg and body to shoulder connections are below acceptable and looks like someone glued them on the body, and then didn't bother to add paint coating to cover the connection points. In addition the pose is sitting, but the placement of the legs make her unable to sit in any other way than just by the edge of an chair while her feet reach the ground and keep her steady. The embodiment of what you expect to get in low quality bootlegs. - Garage Kit Naked Boa Hancock with towel. Same thing as with Nami, but can actually sit with legs in the air. They all came just wrapped in plastic so there were plenty of rubbed off colors and marks as well. Overall I guess it was roughly as expected, with some surprises. Alter Lala did feel like buying a second hand official figure, although if you compare the two there are many differences. Maybe that is a proof of how good Alter is when even the copied products are great. The sonico would look bad if you cast off the underwear, but keeping it on it looks passable. Nami and Boa were bad, but considering the base is garage kits I'm sure if I had tried to build them myself I'd have gotten a similar quality. When you have money you should definitely buy originals. My end statistics was that 3 of 4 had bad gaps between the different parts of the models, which make them feel low quality, and just about all of them got colored spots from not having an official box with protection between parts when shipped. (Sonico Actually had some I believe, which was a surprise for a bootleg). Officials kind of feel overpriced these days, and I think if it was inbetween bootlegs and officials, it would be just right. These bootlegs were really so cheap that the quality level almost was above what I paid for.

I've had a lot of quality control issues with my nendoroids lately (and I know for sure they are genuine), it's been very frustrating. I barely put any pressure on two of them and actually snapped a few attachment pieces (luckily I was able to fix with glue). Then I had a lot of trouble getting the hair off the Kageyma rerun to change the faceplate, and my Giden nendoroid came with two left fists on the default body set up. 😟 Luckily I got the last two through Amazon and they are replacing both of them for me, but it makes me really wary about purchasing more in the future ugh. Congrats on your first art book though! I started collecting them this year too, I got the 400 page Haikyu illustration book first, and then the first two Touken Ranbu art books, and I have Art of Clamp Memories on it's way from Japan right now. 😊 Edit: Literally went and immediately bought that Akiakane Artworks book after I saw you flip through the pages. 😂 So gorgeous! 😍
