I saw her several times - including Elektra. The impact of that voice in the theatre was physical.

I never got to see her live, but I have friends that saw every performance of hers they could get to. One of them told me he’d been to rock concerts that weren’t as loud as she was. They ALL told me that their ears were literally sore after they saw her perform- and that her voice would very literally pin you to your seat.

Oh, those were the days. The excitement when Jones was in the house (in Berlin) was obvious. And even though we all knew about the problems that sometimes occurred her performances were something to remember.
