M G Marg
Mahatma Gandhi Marg is the main pedestrian road located in the downtown Gangtok, Sikkim. As of 2015, Mahatma Gandhi Marg is the only road in Gangtok which has divided carriageway.
MG Market, as the name suggests, is on MG Marg, in the central area of Gangtok. It is closed on Thursdays. Government Handloom and Handicraft Emporium in M.G. Marg are good to buy stuffs like masks, Buddhist prayer wheels, silk “tankha” paintings and carpets.
