Hi Laurence, I hope you don't mind, but in English, "hair" is called a collective noun (also called non-countable), like fruit. That means that most times you would just use "hair" unless you are talking about the individual strands of hair. Examples: They both have great hair... Why doesn't everyone have the same colour hair? Which hairstyles suit my face? They have different haircuts.
