Ive got a pretty tricked out maddog but was thinking of doing a ground up ruckus build. Where do you even begin with parts. Engines a no brainer but the frame and all that type stuff

All if the stock parts can be found at Babbits online. All of the custom parts were ordered through Ebay or The Ruck Shop.

@@derekkelley4517 no, you have to register the scooter as a home built motorcycle in order to get a vin plate from the dmv.

my Chinese scooter has dual shock setup bolted on each side of the engine can I use a mono hook up like a Ruckus with no shock on the other side or hook up so I can have a wider wheel

Wayne Hall it depends on the motor mount that you have on it. if you remove the shock from one side, it might put too much stress on the frame and motor.

I finally got them after almost 3 months. I was about to give up and buy them myself. I had to cancel my order for another part I had ordered almost at the same time. thank you guys for all the great parts and great service.

My spring is so tight I can't even squeeze the belt and move the rear pulls either did yours need adjusting?

As far as I know, theres no way to adjust the clutch. I noticed that after a few rides the tension on the spring was a little looser. I estimate that the stronger engine needs more spring compression than a GET engine.

that makes sense and is what i thought. but had to make sure haha. Im just about done with my ruckus swap. I still need a front rim+tire and exhuast

since you build a ruckus bike ....why it no clutch and gear ....which yall build it to make it look like harly davidson bagger bike that would be nice to HAVE ruckus bagger bike

Baa Ink the gy6 engine has a centrifugal clutch. the gears are located in the rear of the casing.

Did new Password JDM stretch kit work great?

+sethadid Krusata the kit works great with the exception of needing a spacer for the shock mount. also the threads on the main cap stripped easily so I drilled the holes deeper and tapped them. that took care of that problem.

We Have a 2012 Stock Honda Ruckus with 325 miles on it . We are getting together all the parts . to Build up a Motor & trans . to make it run faster . We have a doner motor & trans to use . What we need help in is finding a Big bore kit . or Just a bigger piston to make our own . & . we need some over size Valves . if you or anyone else can help . it would be a very big help . thanks to every . +Davin Link I hear that for just about every company from Dorby works to the ruck shop to pwjdm. However ive been buying their stuff since the '90's. Ive never had a problem with their components. Ive heard that their customer service skills aren't that great though. Just to show that not all companies have the greatest service, Ive been waiting for my wheel bolts to come in for two months from machined machines. Ive also been waiting a month for a Drag brace from him too. But his stuff is good quality, so ill wait.
