A little background from the Chinese translation that I know... Larry was using Edgeworth's name (and probably pic?) to date with this girl yumeko online and they arranged the meeting offline. but yumeko's friend (the one who gives the punch lmfao) who happens to be a boxer gets suspicious and protective, and dressed as yumeko to meet Larry but somehow caught the real Edgeworth to dine with her. Larry panicked so he fetched Phoenix to deal with this (narumitsu intensifies). the boxer showed Edgeworth their message online but Edgeworth refused to acknowledge it, so she called out the real yumeko, then Edgeworth caught Phoenix and Larry and figured out everything... and Larry got the punch as expected. funny thing is as Edgeworth figured out in an instant he mumbled 'right...', and Phoenix stepped out answering 'YES!!!'

Well for what it’s worth, it’s mostly Larry’s fault that Edgeworth got dragged into that whole mess in the first place. *FULL STORY:* Larry had been using Edgeworth’s name as a chat handle to meet girls on the internet. He eventually managed to successfully ask one such girl, Yumeko, out on a date, but Yumeko was afraid that maybe “Edgeworth” wasn’t who he seemed to be, so she asked her pro-wrestler friend Chikusa to stand in for her when Larry proposed to meet her in front of the local clock tower (having offered to put his hand under his chin to signal to her that it was him). However, the real Edgeworth was also at the clock tower and, during a phone call with Detective Gumshoe, put his hand under his chin just like Larry had told Yumeko he (Larry) would do. As a result, Chikusa (now disguised as Yumeko) approached the real Edgeworth and pretended to be all excited for their planned date, but Edgeworth obviously had no idea what she was talking about and tried to leave. This prompted Chikusa to kidnap Edgeworth on the spot, knocking him out with a blow to the abdomen and carrying him off. Larry witnessed the whole thing (mistaking Chikusa for Yumeko) and ran to tell Phoenix, and they eventually found Chikusa and Edgeworth (who took the kidnapping surprisingly well) together at a restaurant as the latter calmly denied ever having spoken to her online. Chikusa was furious (hence when she hit Edgeworth and then pushed him off the chair), thinking that Edgeworth was only denying everything because he supposedly had been trying to take advantage of Yumeko from the start and was only after her for her looks, Chikusa being much larger and less attractive than the real Yumeko. Then Larry and Phoenix were spotted, the real Yumeko showed up as well soon afterward, and both Larry’s and Chikusa’s attempts at deception were finally revealed. Edgeworth (who by then was Fifty Shades of DONE with all of them) advised Yumeko to be more honest with her prospective boyfriends in the future, then paid for the food and took his leave. Yumeko and Chikusa, having realized their mistake, immediately chased after Edgeworth (and are later seen cheering him on at trial and occasionally fighting with Wendy Oldbag over him), while Larry desperately tried to tell Yumeko that he (Larry) was the one she’d been talking to the whole time.
