kungyo gyalo dhondup is the most able person through which we can restore contacts with the PRC. he has the right channel through which we can reach out to the Chinese govt. so, Tibetan government in exile should utilize his resources so that we can bring the Chinese govt. on a negotiating table.

The CCP does not recognize TGIE and instead insists, if Beijing craves dialogue, will only speak with His Holiness and his reps. So TGIE utilizing GT isn't going to cut it with the Chinese regime. Besides, if GT is indeed the "most able person", who. "has the right channel", as you claim, why hasn't he already brought the Chinese to the negotiating table? This guy had been at the helm of Tibetan politics forever, he boasted as much in his book, the noodlemaker.

Mr Thondup played pivotal role in Tibetan government in exile and some say he ran a parallel Org with ties and salaries. His great achievement is he had good ties with bodzhung, kmt, ccp, cia, ib etc. His contribution to Tibetan history is his revelations about the Tibetan ancient regime. But he has a special connection With Chinese VIPs and how he championed reciprocal concessions is yet to be revealed.

We need to have more interviews with Kungo Gyalo Dhondup. Even though i don't buy many of his claims, every Tibetan has to accept the meritorious services he accomplished for Tibetans and His Holiness. It wouldn't be a lie to claim that Mr. Gyalo Dhondup is the second most important Tibetan of Twentieth and Twenty First Century after His Holiness.

Thank you for this great interview and I also apprexiate the initiative but at the same time the interviewee's body language laying back on the chair,a sudden burst of laughter, lack of concentration,throughtout the interview was not humble atleast for me.may be the interviewee might have been very tired or something but as an audience i felt it could have conducted better.

Two biggest villain of our History.... 1.Pandit Nehru declaration of Tibet part of China in 1954 2. President Nixon and Henry Kessinger declaration of Tibet part of China in 1970-1971.

Nehru also gave refuge to the Dalai Lama and India continues to do so at great cost to herself....a little respect is due I think.

Nehru and Nixon did what is good according to their foreign policy for their interest, so it's wrong to blame solely on them. Our Tibetan Aristrocratic Govt Official and secterian monks didn't act according to our motherland interest when they have the power, on the other hand they acted only for their personal interest and we lost our land. We had many opportunities to safegard our country but our Aristrocratic Officials and Secterian Monks didn't do their duty. For example, when USA ask for road built from Tibet to China to curb COmmunist China our Aristrocratic Officials didn't allow, which was bad for our national interest and later Communist China took over Tibet. So there are many many stupid action of our past Aristrocratic and Secterian monk leaders that cost our land. These incidents only bring disgusting and cries to Tibetan people now.

This interviewer man is very impolite and disrespect to His Holiness elder brother and Former Kalon Tripa. I also saw this man talk in Tibetan Exile Parliament impolite and disrespect to Speaker and other senior MP he said, he is in exile for only around Ten years but, he act seems like already knew much more then everybody else. if you read this my comments, be humble, respect to elder and morality are identity of Tibetans. lack of those morality it seems like still Chinese communist. I am Tibetan live in USA 59 years old when I see this man rude attitude I can't stand keep quite...... ( if he dont understand English some one from "tibettimes" translate for him )

What is a great accomplishment is that he maintained good ties with kmt ccp cia ib and bod zhung. Above all he was respected by China and Tibetans as Yangzhi sawang chenmo. While I do not buy into the narrative of the origin of first Tibetan fact finding delegation his revelations about assassination attempts and gold skulduggery by kudags is revealing.
