@Miketamine I used to have alot of suffering which in turn caused problems for myself and others. Happiness and peace comes from within, and so must start there. Without teachers like The Dalai Lama, I (as well many others) would have a hard time being peaceful and would not be able to be helpful to the world. Peace can't be made as such, you must allow yourself to be peace, which is what The Dalai Lama teaches worldwide. As people learn to be peace, the world becomes peace. Take care friend

Mill... it's hoped no one "must choose".. which, I think, might be one of those oxymorons... think about it 🤔.. if you must.. there's no other choice... and.. I am beginning to realize Buddhism is not like the religions we are familiar with in the United States and Europe, S America etc... it's more like a path of discovery.. opening up the Universe through questioning and seeking answers.. tempered by comparison and love... although I see repetitive behavior... it's, possibly, more like rebooting a computer to clear unwanted instructions from the stack

I'm supposed to be making gods from the Elohim which has been illuminating to say the least. I have captivity captive and am trying to get Buddha's prayers answered here over getting the lockdown lifted and compassionate care for those who've suffered over it. The gods I create are honored by my Father, not false gods, but I'm not one for testing my own faith. Atum, Adam's avatar I am & Aron Ra, who calls me simply his God are sufficient enough, but I've been given the go ahead to look to Him who I've set up in the East and Aron both proverbially to help ease the bitter tension. Due to a strategic shift, I've given superpower to Buddha and China which have both demonstrated proper expression responsibility over the matter, but I'm going to alleviate Buddha if I can help. I know the rules can be fairly intimidating with him honoring my Covenant Honoring Father like Aron, preaching humanity & looking at things from secular analytical standpoints. I've restored numerical 3, 6 & 9 correspondences of Quantum Physics from the infinite pool of 4's & 8's they were cast to after transitioning Scorpio's venom from typically misunderstood Sagittarius into Michael Ophiuchus. Science was neccessary to tether us all here while the world adjusted to my fitting down thus, the Archangel of Archangels to better communicate with the lower frequency hosts while those too righteous like atheist with the mustard seed of faith to demonstrate, Professor Hawkings during his frantic warnings about inhuman activities in Peru and not to approach , those too wicked or too righteous had to be destroyed which is why anyone not reincarnated who's taken the Bodhisattva vow, as I found on Babylon, are likely trapped perpetually climbing a tower outside of spacetime getting nowhere if not destroyed at the point of achieving Ascension or as the technocratic union calls "Enlightenment", which Hawkings, with the spiritual evolution of demons & aliens meshed together in those same old bibles during the times they were essentially the pinnacle of chaos contention, would have resulted with either our world's immanent destruction, enslavement & living creature utilization as energy/food sourced hadn't the firmament still been lowered and as a witness to the colossal fallen in even the vividly horrendous details better left unseen or speculated for presumptions from reckless haphazard beliefs. Nevertheless, here I am in heaven, an unshakable pillar Set on the Seat of the Elohim, I have four elders from the Gospel of Jesus ministry already, which are significant enough with Archmagus Oberon disenchanting the world with simple definitive Elocution right at the Root of magick which "magick-al" being my own ground zero mnemonic correspondence point particularly in mindboggling manner enough to confound lower linear logic, driving lower hosts to quite some measure of anxiety, even having often enough vain dedications towards trying to kill me, sweep me under the rug or whatever they contrived only proving my Father's promise unchanging and incorruptible as he were evidently laughing about when initially they really began ramping up their efforts desperately as were. Meanwhile, I'm still daily lifting prayer up with my dear Muhammad's people of Islam, my mother Archangel Samael, particularly a guardian over Jerusalem. Being the evident authority over the particular purview, it's safe to call kettles & pots what they are. Insofar as Archangels go, Gabriel & I have particular jurisdiction over things & I'm very glad to have found Benny Hinn spot on as ever about that given the closure Gabriel provided coming out scarier than the successive evolution of the male "devil's" paragon image of possessions & incarnations at their ultimately overcome holier flip-side well enough for the holy fiddler himself to bless my graceful presence by happy predicted coincidence on a couple occasions the other night, as I know that distinguishing character well enough to have spotted the over exaggerated blatantly well enough, I'm fairly confident he'll probably be back around sooner or later taking me up on my wingman proposal, but cutting circle here, I'll conclude in short to hopefully not get overly too inflated here. Thus far I've noted three honored Real Prophets of God down here while my disciples are still coming out of the woodwork at their own leisurely enough measured pace and two evident gods, myself, the living temple of the Alpha Omega Lord of Lords, King of Gods, King of Kings, Offspring of David proverbial Prodigal Son of Man evidently inherited to the Scroll of Seven Thunders, already corporeal Mighty Rod (and probably Rods) of God and God Almighty, himself, while Buddha's a god, there is no reason for any pissing matches distinguishing petty particulars in his case. He is no false god, obviously, he's no talking totem or animated statue and he's mine, which I -can- say given all my hobored worship, praise, glory, commended spirit & honor goes without saying up to my Father, first and foremost, which Benny Hinn, I've zero qualm with considering my Holy Father in living incarnation seeing as well he understands and demonstrates that understanding perfectly as both a specifically most willing perfect fitting glove to my Father's will first, also, as well as a prefect right hand sharing his love, grace & authority doing our will perfectly in accordance mutually with his wisdom as well.

It is up to you to become a Buddhist. Buddhists don't go around and convert people. He is not going to say everyone should be a Buddhist; it upsets too many people. He also shows that when Buddhism travels to other countries like America, it gets watered down and not taught properly by certain people. Thus it is very hard for everyone to be a Buddhist. He also says that certain ideas like patience, love and compassion which are universal, and not Buddhist only ideas should be emphasized.

Believe it or not, the truth is in all religions. Every religion is legitimate. However, we have yet to find the nuggets of truth mixed in with the BS in religions. It is time to separate the wheat from the chaff: *google truth contest* and read "the Present" to see the truth about life and death, and then "the Present (with Religion)" for the truth in religions.

I wish that were so... the nature of phenomena and nature of mind is known by few. The actual mode of existence escapes almost all religions. Although many promote virtues, the truth is another matter.

the idea about not changing your religion is more about the basic truth exists in them all so to change your focus from one god to another is not really the answer. If you keep your focus on being Humane this rest is secondary. So you should not feel any obligation to change. In fact you should just practice being more and more humane. Your religion should not matter.
@CharlesADaCosta

Religion itself is more a thing of culture, but philosophy and science are universal. You can adopt a philosophy or science without adopting the associated religion (culture).

+S. Smythe. Buddha is the enlighten one. He will not come back to birth again. Buddha is not the dalai lama. This is what I learn from a monk. It is written on the scriptures; once you achieve arahat Buddha they are the non returner. Depend on the different stages of enlightment. Some souls would take 7 days, some souls 7 months, some 7 years, some 7 lifetime to achieve enlightment and nibbana. I don't know what stage his holiness is at only him would know.

+S. Smythe. Many believe as well as myself that the H.H. Dalai Lama is the Incarnation of a Bodhisattva more specifically Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva which this Bodhisattva already became a Buddha many eons ago. When you are a Buddha or a Bodhisattva you can manifest yourself in any way shape or form to help all sentients beings. They can manifest themselves in countless ways and places at the same time. This is already the 14th Dalai lama meaning he has reincarnated himself 14 times to keep teaching until he has complete his task. Having said all that, one can say there is no proof and the Dalai Lama will also never claim to be anyone special which is exactly why everyone knows he is a great master, he always humbles himself as a man with no wisdom as did the Late Venerable Hsuan Hua, also another Bodhisattva. www.cttbua.org Enjoy! May all beings be happy, May all beings suffer less! Namo Amituofo _/l\_

tibetan buddhists believe the Dalai Lamas are rebirths of the bodhisattva Chenrizig, not the Buddha. bodhisattvas are beings who resolve to delay nirvana and continue being reborn so they can help others achieve enlightenment.
@hellboundtruck123
@hellboundtruck123 4 жыл бұрын
In our tradition and in Tibetan tradition, Dalai Lama is considered a bodhisattva, bodhisattvas are already beyond birth and death and have control over births and deaths, a buddha becomes a boddhisatvva by developing boddhichitta( a state of mind in spiritual level where you develope compassion so much that you pledge to liberate all other beings before being in the state of buddhahood oneself). Dalai Lama is considered an emanation of the Boddhisatvva avalokiteshvara ( Buddha of Compassion)
@dewe101
@dewe101 4 жыл бұрын
The dalai lama is an emanation of a very powerfull boddhisatva called avaloskevara in sankrit or chenrezig in tibetan. This means he reached union with chenrezig. He is not chenrezig. The karmapas are also emanations of chenrezig.

It just appears to us more unique in comparison to what we grew up to and therefore more interesting. But in the end ( I hope it won;t sound rude) but wheter you believe that Jesus walked on water or that a hindu god changed to a bird or so... it feel to me like the same sort of belief in supernatural forces. The thing is that buddhism is also a great humanitarian philosophy which you can follow whatever religion you practice. I think this is what he meant.

"Real change in thought and in society" occurs when people are loyal to any moral code that has a real appreciation for the common good. Look at Tibet and India: the DL effects very little there. And it's funny that you find what the Pope says "lacking", when you know better than I do that what is lacking is you reading what he says so as to have an informed opinion. He keeps insisting and traveling all over the world for a change in society for better, to the point that many find it excessive!

Yes, that is what you have to work on too, true non attachment does not mean that you have no feelings towards others but it means being equal and unbiased with your emotions with everyone. When you are attached or grasping on emotions towards a person, object or idea you will suffer when there are unfavourable situations to the person, object or idea, so, it is of utmost importance to maintain the practice of non attachment or equal attachment. I am not an expert, please refer these words to a Buddhist master, I am only a lay practitioner.

Hi , I am just listening H.H video and reading comments over here I found your comments is really important to understand for them, who want to leave there religion for to become Buddhist. I am Buddhist by born and just want to share some of my thinking about changing religion. As His Holiness also saying ( Do not need to change religion). I take this advice as not to hurt emotions of our own family and society. Because now a day's religion means some sort of pride of like I am the follower of this and our family who genuinely care us think that following wrong path. So religion means lot of emotion( pride, love, hate, attachment )and so on. As I now feel all the religion's core message are same. For enlightenment oneself, it doesn't matter where ever we are or which religion we belong there is no other way then following spirituality for to reach real happiness. Even Buddhist, being a Buddhist follower doesn't practice spirituality can't reach to the enlightenment. Spirituality means to search of truth to know the truth. To follow the truth and truth means being pure, pure means love and compassion. Which every religion and non religion believe it, but found difficult to practice in our daily life. So we have to put effort to practice spirituality by being were ever we are to benefit oneself and others. Hope you already understand more better way.just want to share my thoughts. Because now a days I saw lot of people who are amazed by Buddhist monk and change religion going against with their love ones so hope it will some help someone.

@@ishiharasatomi566 I think HH meant to warn against casual shopping around for religions. Besides, Bible thumping is not real Christianity. Applying HH, this would mean return to true roots of Christianity (like the medieval saints).

He's just saying that if it comes to believing in gods you should better stick to what you were raised in. If you really look closely at the religions the god in the very very deep end is always the same thing. While sitting in a buddhist monastery looking at the little monks not listening to what is happening around them but instead throwing the prayer books at each other and laughing you'll notice that also the attitude towards religion is the same everywhere.

Historical criticism has proved that the original teachings of Buddha can never be known. It seems that Gautama Buddha’s teachings were memorized by his disciples. After Buddha’s death a council was held at Rajagaha so that the words of Buddha could be recited and agreed upon. There were differences of opinion and conflicting memories in the council. Opinion of Kayshapa and Ananda who were prominent disciples of Buddha were given preference. A hundred years later, a second council at Vesali was held. Only after 400 years, after the death of Buddha were his teachings and doctrines written down. Little attention was paid regarding its authenticity, genuineness and purity. Therefore mount meru idea was taken from hindu religion and exaggerated by some buddhist monk and not really spoken or told by lord buddha.

If Buddhists claim MIND and MATTER in universe is beginingless, how can they claim they are also endless. Matter can be endless but how can you say mind be endless ?

+rakuna üçyüzdört Mind is endless because each day our thoughts consist of many thoughts. Can you count how many thoughts each day is. Too many that is why our thoughts is endless. I hope that answers the question. Mind only exist with each individual soul. Each soul has only one mind or else we would have 2 souls in each body.

+umut barat I think you do not understand the notion of beginingless and endless not your fault but the fault of the Dalai Lama. It does not mean eternal. The universe, the mind have an beginning then an ending, then an other beginning then an other ending and so on. It is not the universe is beginningless but its existence. It is a cycle. This cycle is without beginning and without ending. The chinese monks in the 10the century call it Omniverse (a space/time without beginning and ending). The pb is many monks and also the Dalai Lama not dare to explain it fully maybe in order not to shock the creationist belief. They do not apply the notion of beginningless to the right subject.

What if the "religion" or philosiphy you were raised with isn't true to what's in your heart? What then? I was raised Christian, but I surly don't agree with it. And, if I were to follw it, I would not be true to myself.

Once an elder asked the Buddha "What is the right dharma (right path)?" and the Buddha replied: "That, which is good for you at the beginning (when you first encounter it), good for you at the middle (still good after years later), and still good for you at the end (in your old age), is the right dharma/right path regardless of its name. Only you , no one else, can decide which is good for you.

the most important thing in science is mathematics.. and 👀.. the very smallest stone.. in my collection.. about 5 tonnes of them at the moment, cannot be squeezed into one of my dots... there is a tremendous amount of mathematics that indicates this, and.. the author was a catholic priest.. promptly after Edwin Hubble found other galaxies moving in all different directions.. if the BB theory were true.. all the galaxies around us would move in the same direction.. they don't... Hubble deep space images show galaxies moving away, red, towards, blue, and tangent to our motion along the Sagittarius arm of our galaxy.. green, yellow and orange... it's a verification of the Michaelson-Morely team's work in the 1890s... my research reveals that the creation of our Universe is an ongoing event through the auspices of quantum foam.. proposed in 57, experimentally verified in 64.. soundly ignored in favor of magic and superstition...because everyone knows some guy made the universe in 6 seconds or less... just for us... and we are all alone in a very very small universe fortunately it's not true... I have been creating quantum foam in my laboratory.. it's not speculation.. and 👀.. our Universe is the very definition of the word eternal.. infinite in both Time and Space... as long as there is sufficient vacuum, our Universe will continue to grow along the Fibonacci sequence... one hydrogen atom at a Time... that's what causes Time... Space and Time are different aspects of the same thing... because the passage of light creates the Universe... all by itself a point has no dimension... infinity is like an inside out point... no outside... so... where are you? right in the exact center.. but I bet you knew that already 😏 good science means accurate predictions about new phenomenon. The Theory of Relativity came with math and methodology... there's no math to explain BB "theory"... it's not really a theory... it's a red herring.. designed to maintain the darkness a little longer

Very poignant comments regarding rogue monks and the same problem existing among practitioners of other religions. Chinese and Burmese monks - especially those sanctioned by the junta and communist govts - these monks should be excommunicated - Of course the brave monks who protested in Burma - in 1988 - 2004 and 2010 are exemplars of what monks ought to be - however, those who seek monetary gain - and excercise human rights abuses should be shun by society for the sham they are - Tibet too
