I used to do gymnastics and this sort of stretching is VERY normal. The thing is when you're that flexible in order to "push" and really feel the burn, you have to have help sometimes. People who are helping in this video are going from the middle of the body so the muscles are stretched lengthwise, not sideways.

Cool video that explains a lot! Like why they can practically kick themselves in the head when they jump. I wish I was that flexible...or maybe even half of that!

I train rythmic gymnastics 3times a week an 2hours each time. being flexible is helthy i guess... i mean i'm not sick or anything.

Its not unhealthy if you have to do it all the time for gymnastics just to get flexible and get better.

my daughter can do these moves; she is 8 and a half. She was born with natural flexibility, hypermobile joints etc, it makes stretching very easy for her.
