All these comments are sound. The 543 XP is definitely a red max item made in Japan. It is designed slightly differently. However after extended use at one time, The 545 will begin to overheat and you will notice the effects of the cheaper components. Although same in power, the 543 is a little lighter, and is much easier to work with for a long period of time and the fuel economy will be better. Finally, the 543 is designed to withstand a full days use and not overheat or shut down. I have owned both size and I still have the 543XP. It is not a popular saw in difficult to get in the US. It has its place with smaller limbs and definitely for limbing on the ground. This was a great video. Thank you gentlemen

Don't push so hard. These saws have good hp/weight ratio and high rpms, but do not have the high torque of larger saws. Let their speed and horsepower do the work for you.

Pretty much dead even... 545 is true Husqvarna design and the 543xp is a zenoah Japan design it's also a few cc smaller.
