Gypsy is my only car, my offroader, my family car, i am always on a tight budget being a middle class family person. Hence i upgraded all creature comforts slowly slowly while managing my budgets. This is the sweet part of gypsy, that u can upgrade slowly as per your budget allowance. First thing i did was convert from softtop to hardtop swapping from a used gypsy...sasta jugaad. I purchased insulation material and did insulation myself at home of all hardtop and engine bay and trust me it now make a lot of difference. Plus after hardtop, the weight of it did affect the pickup a bit, but the suspension became super smooth. Upgraded old oil shockers to new gas shockers. Power steering (koyo) also installed without any issues since 2years now. AC also installed from past year and no heating issues as the ac chiller grill is installed underbody above the prop shaft, hence does not obstruct the stock engine cooling radiator...hence no overheating. Headlights upgraded to Led. Battery upgraded to 70ah. Alternator upgraded from 35amps stock to 75amps of a baleno. Charging circuits upgraded. Power windows.....as wife was not happy with the crank manual type window mechanism.. Central lock to all 3 doors (hardtop remember), life is really comfortable after that. Upgraded wheels n tyres and front bumper came from previous owner and i kept it as it is. Upgraded the wiper control from the older 2 speed to newer 3 speed. Upgraded rear door 2 hinges to 3 hinges with hydraulic open position stopper. Front 2 Seats changed from stock to accent seats. I have videos of some of my upgrades u may chk out. Hence my opinion is keeps doing the upgrades as per personal choice keeping the expenses and other priorities sorted out first. All these to get them done took me 3 years and am absolutely happy with where i am at today. I have many gypsy friends with "keeping stock" approach just like u, made them rethink once they experienced a drive with my gypsy.😉 One thing is true, gypsy is only possible to own only if the complete family loves it, which i am blessed with, my wife and my boy may sell me, but will not let me sell "our" gypsy 🤣 Even the previous owner after seeing the gypsy after 3 years asked me if ever i want to sell it back to him......Never Gypsy is more of an emotion than a vehicle, and everyone expresses it differently, hence that is the beauty of Gypsy....No 2 gypsies are identical.😍

Only thing i didnt install is a music system, i am only using a bluetooth 60w woofer speaker under my seat which pairs to my phone....and that serves the purpose to what i need.

Very well honestly explained, to watch and understand your point of view, I cancelled the idea to install AC in my gypsy and remained it open in stock condition except that I have already installed power staring. If want AC, best is to fit AC fan under the body near rear wheels.. No heating issue. Only need regular pressure cleaning after off-road drives..

Namaste Sir 🙏 Mai apni gypsy mai Left Hand Side Rear View Mirror lagwana chahta hu , jaisa Right Hand Side mai aata hai in Stock condition , aur decent say seat covers lagwana chahta hu on the front and rear seats. Toh yeh lagwanay theek rahangay kya? Lastly , mainay ek FM radio antenna lagwa hai as I love listening FM radio while driving my gypsy 😍 Baki yeh Gypsy bilkul hi stock condition mai hai aur mai isay aisay hi rakhunga 😌 Please do answer my query . No need to spend so much. Stock suspensions and leaf springs are awesome. Me and my family are very comfortable with the hardtop, stock seats and without AC. What I did in my vehicle is, I added heat lawn to the entire interior and then topped it up with floor carpet. The body floor also was added with rubber paint below the heat lawn providing additional noise reduction. Power steering works awesome but most people don't understand the use of front wheel hubs when driving in 2H, results in better training radius, higher power transmission and better milage. I get around 20-22 in city driving, per litre of petrol on a stock engine. So IMHO Gypsy can be comfortably used as a city vehicle and regularly. The only problem I encounter is reversing in tight and unorganised parking spaces.

@@vaalupasanga242 Depends on the condition of the chassis and underbody, transmission including transfer case and ofcourse the engine (please check for noise and take a PUC in your presence) If all these are in mint condition you can buy at no greater than 2.5L. Body work , propeller shafts, clutch plate, suspensions are comparatively lesser pain to fix in terms of cost and effort so I wouldn't pay too much attention to that. I am saying this considering this is a 1000cc engine. If you are going for a BS3 or BS4 model which will serve you better, a vehicle in mint condition should cost you between 4-6L, for exceptionally well maintained 7L is the limit. Beyond that go for a new vehicle like the Gurkha or wait for the Jimmny launch in 2022.

@@GYPSYlifesolo I really love the features in gypsy, it's light weightedness being the first one. But lack of power steering and AC makes it undriveable in cities. Most of us live in cities and to go for any off-road we need to drive in city for atleast an hour out and and hour in, also we gypsy lovers will take it out for spin within city also many times, these no-power steering or non-ac should not create a hinderance to take them out for our family or even for us. So saying "Don't get it fitted" would sound wrong but you could say "I would not get them fitted".
