This interview is so unfiltered and real. It speaks volume about gyptian .

For real, he's speaking from the heart. Most artist would not admit that they can't remember their lyrics of their song. 😅 love it though

Gyptian yard man in a south Florida like how you down a Yard now . Now is the right time to do something with the hit song " these are some serious times " either remix it are part ll or follow up with the new commission appointed so we could have a fight against crime in our country tru music and law and order.

I met Gyptian at a NYU concert a few years ago. My friend who attended with me knew that I adored his music, and somehow was able to get me backstage. I got more than a backstage experience as Gyptian was kind enough to sign a CD and we spoke briefly while riding the elevator down with him and his entourage. In his Jamaican patois, "Come here pretty gyal." I was so smitten. He was so gracious and respectful.

We booked Gypsian & Warrior King in the mid 2000’s & on the day of the show we received ( sold a lot of tickets pre-show) news that Warrior King flew back to JA. It was devastating. To fill in the spot ( fans expected the combo they paid for ) we had to shell out $$ for Pressure who fortunately was 3 hours away . Gyptian visited some DJ’s ( Dub plates/Medicine ) , my wife was getting ready for the show , I went to pick him up & come back to pick up my wife & he just felt so uncomfortable to come in to our house . It was weird & surreal knowing full well he has been to homes that are more expensive. I will always remember. Even during the ride to the club he didn’t say a single word. I /believe hi was scared .

Or he could just be a human being who was mentally preparing for his performance and wasn't focused on socializing at that moment and not particularly keen on going into someone's home. Everyone, self included isn't into going into people's houses. How was his performance though? Despite what you theorized to be his nervousness; how was his performance?
@ElimanGibba7 ай бұрын
@@bignixnix we had a package deal ( Him & Warrior King ) and obviously Warrior King leaving the day before our show has impacted our show . He performed okay. I am just sharing our experience & not analyzing/theorizing ( I don’t know him ) about him , however as his hosts & promoters it was interesting that he didn’t seem to trust us. Just one minor push back on going to peoples house : He was comfortable enough to do Dub Plates at a Dj’s house ,as a person constantly on the road , visiting or going to peoples homes should be a normal thing ,no ?

it's amazing how one song can change your life and bring you across the world. That's amazing. But Gyptian couldn't find another hit that's why he was never looked at as one of the greats. You need hits to be great! Hope he can find one soon,

He has hit songs
@rootzandbranches46567 ай бұрын
@@BurgzCTX The question is not 'does he have hit songs' but 'HOW MANY hit songs' does Gyptian have to his credit ? These days, if you have 3 hit songs, people put you in a high class but artists of past had DOZENS of hit songs. Today's artists are nothing big compared to yesteryear's artists.

Inorder for the upcoming young generations to be successful in the music industry, making quality music, the current legends should be the ones to guide and teach them, just as the icons before past on the knowledge to these legends. Bounty Killa did it in the past, but still many legendary Artists from his era are too selfish to do it. Bend di tree from it young.
