Hey and thanks for updating us on the edibility. I too have older books that say either inedible or toxic, on coral fungi that I've already eaten and was completely fine after boiling and dumping the water.

People argue with me ad nauseum that these are inedible, as well as verpa Bohemia and a few others. Even folks running mushroom specific channels - you'd think those would have done their homework.

Have you already done, or can you make a video on puffball mushrooms or lion's mane? I'm not much of a mushroamer and I don't know where and when these grow. But if it's possible, then can you do a showcase on either one?

I don't have a puffball video yet but I do have one on lion's mane: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6GaZ4V6nJZ6jtk

Alden Dirks, University of Michigan, is studying the toxin in Gyromitra. He does not eat them. Watch the talk he gave to Torrey Botanical Society and think twice before you risk it...

I learned something. I thought all of those were toxic

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with others Don! We probably need to stick to boiling - not parboiling. Parboiling is like saying to partially boil something and that the opposite of what needs to be done with some species. Keep up the great work, I enjoyed the video!

I see more of these than morels in some places. Thought they were deadly, learned something new from this video. Thanks. We never stop learning unless we close our mind.
