Gyrotandem. A Twin-Rotor Tandem RC Autogyro

To build this autogyro, I was inspired by the “Gyrotandem” designed by French modeller Georges Chaulet in the 90's. Initially, I installed rigid rotors as in the French model; however, after many tests in which I only got flights of no more than 10 or 12 seconds, due to lack of stability, I decided to install articulated rotor heads (flapping hinges) and increase the weight of the blades. In this way, I was able to achieve a consistent flight (last flight of the video).
Weight: 810 grs (28.5 oz.) Rotor Diameter 80 cm (31.4 inches). Flight controls: direct control for pitch and roll (forward rotor); rear rotor adjustable in pitch on ground only; rudder & throttle. Battery: Lipo 3S 2200 mAh. Prop: 8x4
