I hit Mythic a few hours later with this deck. Humble Naturalist is in the deck now, the 1/3 is great against Red and Rakdos. 28 lands, never miss a land drop, and I trimmed some shock lands so it wasn't too painful because the fixing with paradise and humble makes everything easy to cast. Most of the large things, like Trawler and Umori turned into Pain Bacon, just get them dead. Forget milling them. Have fun - aetherhub.com/Deck/Public/254124 I included a sideboard for you BO3 gamers - Destiny's Spinner nukes the flash and control match-ups

Hey CGB, I found an infinite combo Luminous Broodmoth Soul Diviner Samut Woe Strider Cruel Celebrant Infinite lifegain, infinite ping, infinite card draw. I played this concept on arena a bit, and fiend artisan is super useful in setting up the combo if you have the moth out on the battlefield Samut can be replaced by purphoros, because it needs to just raw make all your creatures haste. I tried crashing drawbridge instead but it didn’t work, it just gives the creatures haste. So first you sacrifice the soul diviner to woe strider. It returns to the battlefield with a flying counter because of the moth and with haste because of Samut. Because it died, your opponent loses one life and you gain one. Then, you tap it to remove it’s counter and put it back on the ground. Then you sacrifice it to woe strider (cruel celebrant ping), and it returns flying. Because it’s haste you can tap it already and remove it counter. And repeat the cycle until you’ve 1. Killed your opponent 2. Gained so much life your opponent can’t really do anything anymore 3. Drawn your deck I wanted to share it with someone who could get more credit out of it, I've only gotten it to go off two times in standard play. I didn't get a response from other youtubers and I was hoping this combo could get some spotlight Deck 4 Soul Diviner (WAR) 218 2 Plains (IKO) 262 2 Temple of Silence (M20) 256 4 Luminous Broodmoth (IKO) 21 2 Swamp (IKO) 268 4 Samut, Tyrant Smasher (WAR) 235 4 Cruel Celebrant (WAR) 188 2 Temple of Deceit (THB) 245 2 Temple of Malady (M20) 254 4 Drawn from Dreams (M20) 56 4 Forever Young (ELD) 89 2 Temple of Enlightenment (THB) 246 2 Island (IKO) 265 2 Forest (IKO) 274 4 Woe Strider (THB) 123 4 Gift of Paradise (M20) 173 2 Temple of Plenty (THB) 248 2 Temple of Mystery (M20) 255 4 Fabled Passage (ELD) 244 4 Fiend Artisan (IKO) 220

Two days ago this was good, but this is really bad against the Lurrus menace, especially when they have an active Priest killing all of your dorks. I think there was over an hour straight the other night where I was only paired up against Lurrus decks and didn't win a single game. I liked the Simic Bo3 Mythic #183 deck from Malpelo96 since it has Wolfwillow Haven and Migration Path instead of some of the creature ramp. Kogla and Dream Eater also feel better than the other plays because they allow for some actual interaction (and Dream Eater helps against Flash and stacks your deck). I didn't like Essence Scatter for Bo1 though, so I swapped it for Callous Dismissal which seems to be the best fix for Priest while doing a lot of work in other matches. Other than that, I cut one Paradise Druid to get an extra End-Raze Forerunners (which still leaves me 11 two-mana ramps). I'm only in gold, but once I corrected to that I went up three tiers in a single day, so I think that is the right way to go. The Lurrus matches aren't a gimme or anything, but they are much more winnable now. If you are getting frustrated with the Bant builds in the current meta then try something similar to this plan out!

Is the impact of companions on magic bigger than when plainswalkers landed?

You should run Soulherder. It's a perfect fit for this deck.

I had all the cards for this deck, except Gyruda, so I built it, and went 5-1 in arena ranked in my first 6. Not bad at all and extremely fun to play.

Dude MonoBlack is worthy of the utmost respect in my book... he’s a fucking wizard in his own regard in terms of what this game is capable of and how to stretch its limits.

Hey man! I love the deck, but is there any good replacements for thassa?
@francescolasaracina39644 жыл бұрын
What about farfinder? I know it costs 3 but it helps you to fix the Mana and thin out the deck (as fabled passage does). Do you think it is worth?
@lolhighscore52344 жыл бұрын
This deck is sick. Due to lack of wildcards I subbed in some thassa's oracles and teferi time twist, but I am making it work through plat.

Luminous Broodmoth works crazy and multiple your multiple lengendaries die and return flying so you get double triggers

Why no luminous broodmoth to add extra board wipe insurance/potentially resetting the combo?

I breezed right by this card when I read it. I gotta stop doing that. This deck is sweet as hell. I'm so giving this a shot. Thanx CGB.

I've seen Gyruda go from Gyruda Sultai (Non Companion version) to Gyruda Bant Ramp pretty fast, the mirror match is almost decided by who get Gyruda out first but if you fail to swing in for leathal or mill opponent before their turn there is a minor risk of letting them Gyruda and end up getting milled instead. I was saved by having two of my Spark Doubles in hand when I had to pass turn. OP Gyruda'd and only got a Guildmage and then passed turn, I swung in for 54 damage worth of Gyruda and Thassa and pig XD

if anyone is having issues with this deck since meta is so fast aggro based, im having great success removing the mana creatures and adding shatter the sky main deck, turning it into more of a control early game that board wipes the turn before going off. its helped tons in the matches i have been going against (mono red, menace, radkos sacrifice, and even simic flash)

I wonder how this deck does in sultai 🤔 are the princes vital to the deck?
@SanderOver4 жыл бұрын
Can you make it with Haunt of Hightower? I mean, the discard is insane, but I don't know if it's....fast enough
@christophsuster83714 жыл бұрын
2 Brood Moths work wonders there... Its only 4 Mana, and legendruling gyruda with moth on the field gives you 2 extra gyruda triggers
@Drewski12344 жыл бұрын
hey sorry I'm late to the video, sorta new to magic in the sense I haven't played in 10 years and just started back up. But why wouldn't you just get rid of all the tap lands, and replace them with basics, using shock lands to round out your white source. because It seems to me there is never a time on turn 2 where you are hard casting charming prince, or on turn 4 hard casting gaurdmage so the white mana is really irrelevant and having none of the tapped lands and more basics is more reliable no?

If ending a game on turn 4 instead of playing an interesting game is awesome then sure. Of course every deck is shit in standard right now, so you might as well play this.
@maximedumoussaud90424 жыл бұрын
It's really fun to watch and it's awesome for sure... but it's just one of these old lottery-type Aetherwork Marvel «combo» deck. Except the combo piece starts in your command zone and is a 3 potential wincon (mill/reanimator/plain old 6/6) in one package. So yeah, that might need a ban if it turns out it's too consistent
@nvmffs4 жыл бұрын
@@maximedumoussaud9042 Even if it isn't too consistent Exodia-type decks shouldn't exist. Yes, a counterspell might beat it or a few other cards but does that make it ok? They'd rather have a ton of decks drop out of the meta just to have this buffoonery? WotC Devs should ask themselves if it's worth it.
@francisjirons4 жыл бұрын
@@Kasamori that's not how bans work. You ban a card when it has no viable answers. They banned Field of the Dead in Standard because there is basically no way to interact with it, land destruction isn't really a thing. In comparison, in Commander by turn 6/7 your opponent has hit you with mass land destruction twice, so there is no point in banning Field there. There are plenty of answers to Gyruda in standard. Every single counterspell, Grafdigger's Cage, the Cerberus thing from Theros. Or you may simply drop T3feri on turn 3, and by turn 4 you let your opponent build a gigantic board, then you wrath at instant speed. The meta will find a way to deal with it.
@Kasamori4 жыл бұрын
@@francisjirons My problem is not that there are no answers. My problem is that all decks dacide the game on turn 4. If I stop Gyruda with Hushbringer for example, I win. Technically not yet, but I will win. So what's the point of playing standard then? They should get rid of cards that let the game be decided instantly. If you counter them, again, the game is decided instantly. The point of a magic game should be to PLAY, not to WIN. I know, who wants to play when you can win.
