Wonder how you register at 12306? Do you need to buy ticket at the counter first before register? And there is no need to take taxi in HK since the subway is very extensive.

I never heard the train called 12306, so interesting. I purchased my tickets ahead of time on Trip.com, but it’s possible to buy at the ticket machine if the train has seats available. www.12306.cn/en/faq.html

Kowloon Harbourfront hotel is about ¥800 per night for a two bedroom suite. $110 isn’t bad for a big crowded city.
