I didn't think they could do better than 'After like' ... I really didn't think it was possible! But I guess when it comes to them, the standard is to not release a bad title track, like it's quite literally impossible for them at this point! And that I did not think was realistically possible. However this song exceeded every single one of my expectations and beyond. This truy felt like they were given everyone a mastercall of how to release a SOTY. This is how great I thought this was. This song is simply put: a masterpiece. It felt so powerfully heavenly. This gave me music box, French monarchy like Le Roi Soleil, super expensive and badass Barbie OST (I know it's weirdly specific but I think it makes sense). This easily is one of the best release this year! Just one word: WOW. Loved how the MV also shows some kind of continuity with their previous MV but this time it's like the first class experience for sure. Boujee for sure, gorgeous, classy, paradise like, empowering and dominant! And that's IVE for you!

This was kpop greatness. If anybody knows anything about the golden age of second gen girl groups because you either were there to witness it or you went back after, you will understand why I said that. IVE is KPOP. It sounds like a redundant statement but if you get it, you get it. No wonder they are so popular in their home country when they are the FACE of what kpop is about. When other groups westernize their sound or bring back western nostalgia, IVE is going back to the days when kpop started creating it’s core identity, which is the late 2000s-early 2010s. This release was not only nostalgic in many ways but also refreshing. And after the unjust hate train they experienced for the past couple of months, it was triumphant and glorious. For them to literally tell you ‘THIS IS WHO I AM’ and for the song to be this sickining is kinda crazy. This is NOT the flex people think it is, it’s not them showing off the money and the awards, they are flexing something else, which is the fact that they are carrying a legacy of extraordinary kpop girl groups. This one was for the culture of kpop. Period. It’s iconic, it’s a statement, and it’s with their FIRST album. This is them cementing their role in this generation of kpop which is shaping up to be the renaissance of girl groups. Second golden era, and IVE, is one of the leaders.

No listen. I can’t personally find a single criticism for this song. The producers understand every member’s voice so well that they choose the most suitable parts for each members. Personally I think Yujin, Liz and Gaeul stand out this comeback, but this is the first IVE song I could genuinely say that every single member shines. Excellent job!

I have always got the vibe that IVE has these very Mean Girls/Regina George aesthetic with 'Kitsch' and 'Love Dive' like rich prep school and 'I AM' is a very expensive chic fashionista aesthetic, like I think Versace or Chanel. The vibe that's like "Yeah I can go to Paris anytime I want and I can buy everything I want😏" like them using a black card, I wouldn't be shocked if they actually had one, especially Wonyoung and Yujin for the amount of money they make. They have had trouble in the past, with not precisely letting some of the members shine as much but this song just definitely solidified them as IVE!!🔥I hope to see more comebacks like this, they sound amazing
