complicaetd issue because the state, ethnicity, and to some degree, religion are interewined. There’s lots to challenge about the state of Israel, its influence on US politics, and its shameful treatment of the Palestinian people without coming anywhere near being anti-Semitic. Sadly, Jewish and Asian hate crime have been on the rise…hoping we can all see each other’s humanity and the fragility of each group’s claim to humanity in this country/world including black and brown people in America and elsewhere. In some ways, hatred and ignorance don’t discrimate.

That's the problem. They define legitimate criticism of Israel on the subject of Palestine (or anything) as Anti-Semitic. They consider BDS Anti-Semitic. More like 40-years-too-late, but not definitely not Anti Semitic. Similarly, criticize the banking industry and you'll be called Anti-Semitic. So, really, some if not a lot of blame here should land on the Israel lobby and this cynical attempt to tie legitimate criticism of government policy to the holocaust.

Bremmer bought iti up but did not push back. The overwhelming majority of people, more particularly in the US, recognized the right and existence of Jewish state. That's settled. For the most part, Noa's framing was fine. However, she oversold the idea that Americans can be critical of Israeli policy toward the Palestine people without aggressively tagging people as antisemitic.
