INGREDIENTS:
Rasam Powder-
2-3 tbsp chana dal
2-3 tbsp tuar dal
2 tbsp coriander seeds
5-6 dry red chillies
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tbsp black pepper powder
1 tsp methi seeds
10-12 curry leaves
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
4-5 garlic cloves
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
2-3 dry red chillies
8-10 curry leaves
1/4 tsp heeng/asafortida
3-4 tomatoes chopped

I love your recipes Kanak... they always turn out awesome! As a South Indian, just a comment... we prefer to mash the tomatoes by hand and allow them to cook well before adding the water, and the flame is switched off just prior to boiling point... for authentic taste, it’s not supposed to actually boil 😊

I am Mallu and Sikhni you made me happy. Ek side mein powder brahmin style Rasam Podi and I also prefer South Indian food anytime. I did it without dal i may put masoor dal aaj instead of toor. I can't digest it. All in all my house smells of South India. I am from Malaysia.
