Can't believe it's been 10 years already, just coming here and listening to this song makes me so nostalgic. I used to be obessed with this song during my early teenage years and everything both Nicovideo and KZbin we're much more easier and simpler back in the days, and everything stuff uploaded on YT video in late-2000s and early-2010s we're mostly fun and enjoyable, and not for profit and living until now (although some KZbinrs did earn money for living on late-2000s and early-2010s sometimes). I know most of Utaite who we're active on NND in late 2000s/early 2010s have already reitred and move on with their lives while others have become professional singers upon singing contract with major record labels (Eve is signed to Toy's Factory, Mafumafu at A-Sketch, Reol at Victor Entertainment, etc). I am an now struggling KZbin content creator who tries his best to earn money for living through making J-Pop compilation videos known as "Japan News Network". How time files! 😢

The reason why, is because mainly, videos are seen with either Rin or Len, so nico nico singers base after the most or commonly seen vocaloids. Sure there are different vocaloids and Utauloids, but it all depends on the song, so all the same characters but in different, style and way of interpretation. After all they each have a different voice.And if you don't like it then why watch?

Just as a note for people wondering, based on the accusations by other people, these aren't vocaloids. Its ironically real people who have become so enthusiastic about computer generated voice tones that they've auto-tuned their voices to resemble voicaloids. Its quite popular on Nico these days.

There was. The original song was from a singer/fashion blogger KyaryKyary Pamyu Pamyu. After her song got popular, Vocaloid user picked it up and had Len sing PonPonPon. Same with all the Kyary songs following, the same user had Rin sing TsukemaTsukeru and then Gumi sing Candy Candy. :)
