Its partly thanks to the Japanese diapora that Brazil turned into a agricultural superpower, at 60 and 70 they got offer to uncharted the Middle-west of the Brazil to get their own farmlands, problem is that region soil is very poor, but with hard work they turned that place into the heart of the Agricultural land in Brazil, responsible for more than half of total grain production of Brazil.
@@astamañana-amiga See the history of Hiroo Onoda, a japanese soldier who continued to resist war for DECADES thinking Japan didn't lose the war. Eventually he was convinced, and later decided to settle in Brazil for some time, where he became a farmer in South Mato Grosso state, one of the Middle West agricultural powerhouses Stronghart mentioned. He eventually returned to Japan where he died of old age. A very interesting story that reflects both japanese people's resilience, resourcefullness and contribution to Brazil.
