Aron, the primary purpose is to stop the hot liquid from spilling out. You'd have to touch it for way longer than normal human twitch-reaction time for it to harm you. It's just there to plug the drinking hole.

I actually think that individual choices concerning collective interests have a very profound effect, just not for the lies of civilizations reason. It's because not all votes are equal. I'll remind you that, during the rules for rulers, only blocks that vote for you matter, even in real power structures, during a board meeting a teacher who does far more work (and is credited for it) has more influence than a "standart" teacher. Even at any councils meetings, national parliments a higher valued person or a more credited and respected person has a lot more sway of people's thoughts and actions, and is more likely to get his way or make others make the same choise as he does. It's not exactly directly, but it's still saying that individual choises matter on the collective level.
@reNINTENDO6 жыл бұрын
The concept of individual choices not mattering is asinine in general. It's basic math. A single vote might not change an election, but votes _do_ change an election. If a large group of people don't vote with the assumption that their vote won't do anything, they're indirectly having a dramatic effect. Really I think Grey is a fan of the concept not because he believes it but because he's lazy and likes having a "smart" reason behind it. Ironically enough, if everyone did what Grey said and didn't believe individual choice mattered, individual choice would matter immensely.

Why isn't there a new podcast every 4 hours each day? 2 hours to talk, and hour and a half to edit and 30 mins to upload. So They get up at 7 am, talk, edit, upload = 11 am. Rinse and repeat. New podcasts should be available at 11 am, 3 pm and 7 pm. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN 3 PODCASTS EACH DAY! :)

Using a clock face to represent a score is neat! And while it may visually be symmetrical on either side, I assume it would follow the same convention as timekeeping itself: even though both 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock are just rotations of each other, the former would mean you've only 'counted' 3 hours and therefore is 25%, while the latter means you've 'counted' 9 hours and therefore is 75%.

I think that a lot of people treat comments as talking to the crowd. They might be looking for validation of a thought they had. Since the comments are responding to media, I think a lot of people go into a comment with the context of critiquing media rather than discussing it so nitpicking is considered to be acceptable
