H&K Ampman Modern - Why I chose this amp as my full time guitar rig.

Funny! My Ampman modern is the only amp I use right now. I have an H&K TM18, which is phenomenal - a 50 or 100 watt tube amp is just way more than I need these days. I went shopping for a “better” low watt tube head and tried 8 or 10 - long story short - most were disappointing compared to the TM18 and the ones that sounded good to me were not what I’d call a significant upgrade, so I stuck with my TM18. BUT I tried the BS200 and was blown away by it - especially for solid state. So when the Ampman went on sale at L&M, I grabbed one and I don’t think I’ve turned on the TM since!

Nice video - love to hear an audio demo of the H&K! Question - I can't tell, but is that a guitar Fernandes APG-100 in Lemon Drop finish? If so, I have the exact guitar - still my fav after 25 years!

Thanks! It's actually a Gibson Les Paul Double Cut Standard. I've had it for about 20 years as well... cheers!
