I prefer the 'euro' mag release, not so much due to not moving my grip as I have large hands so that doesn't really apply to me. The big advantage for me is no risk of having it activated when carrying IWB--I've had it happen several times with other guns. There's lots of ways to change the DA pull---reducing the power on the hammer spring but that comes with the risk of light strikes. That said, DA/SA is the hardest system to master. Honestly if you don't feel comfortable with it
@varanid97 ай бұрын
Yeah, I can't find a single instance of a quick mag change saving anyone's life. I HAVE personally seen many instances of magazines inadvertently being ejected (without the gun owner's knowledge) on Berettas, Glocks, and, to a lesser degree (for some reason), Sig Sauers.

I own 2 HKUSP9c's. Bought my first one used and liked it so much I bought a second one with stainless slide. i mainly stick to 9mm and .45 for handguns. All my .45's are 1911's but for 9mm I have all different types. Even though I own "higher end" 9mm's such as my Sig X5, etc-- If I could only keep one gun out of all my handguns it would be my HKUSP9c. They are built like tanks and mine have never choked on any type of ammo- I have 100% confidence in this gun functioning when I need it most. Just bought a GG&G rail adapter and Streamlight TLR-8g to add to one of my HKUSP9c's. Looking forward to adding the light/laser. Also, I love the V3 given I grew up on 1911's--Like the option to keep it cocked and locked on SA mode.

Of the two I'd go 229R (if money's not an option). The P30 is an excellent firearm as well; more of a competitor to the 229R in my opinion.

Awesome review! Simple and to the point with no BS. thank you. I had a full size 9 USP several years ago and traded it off. Kind of a bummer as it was such a solid pistol. May have to look into a compact in 40 to add to my concealed carry lineup.

I love the mag release; I think it's superior to the 'standard' location in that it virtually eliminates the chance of it being bumped/depressed when carrying concealed. As far as the DA pull you can change the hammer spring to a lighter spring but you risk light primer strikes (you can probably go down 2lbs without much risk). The DA/SA system is just plain harder to learn than striker or SAO guns in my opinion. Lots of dry firing helps.

I agree they're great guns (as stated above) and if you were comparing it to an old 229 or 226 I'd agree it's a toss up. But with the option of a universal rail and higher cap mags I think the P30 is a better comparison to the 229R. All that said; I'd trust my life to either and whichever you're comfortable with I'd recommend you go with it.

This pistol is heavy chunky feels awkward in the hand has a high bore you can't dry fire it without snap caps without damaging the firing pin and spring it only works with brass cased ammo the trigger has mush and its gritty but damnit you'll appreciate all the dollars you spent on it when you train or use it in the real world then it becomes damn near perfect and you'll never want another side arm

Yes, that is correct. I personally do not care for manual safeties, and would recommend the V4 (DA/SA, decocker only, on right side). Dealers may only have V1s in stock. The necessary parts for the conversion can be purchased online; however, so as to not void your warranty, it is advised to have HK do the conversion. (Then again, it is not rocket science, should you decide to not wait forever and just do it yourself.)
