Granted the technology has advanced by light years but as a synth player who grew up idolizing Jon Lord, Rick Wright, Wakeman, Keith Emmerson etc, I'm absolutely blown away by many of Haelos tracks. Not because of the actual keys playing per se, its Dom's work on the arranging, the envelopes, filters, midi, midi sequencing etc. Holy he is some kind of genius.

As a fan of HÆLOS ( since "Dust" in a UNKLE Remix, 2015) at this very moment I have set myself the task of saying something very fundamental about this, in my own words: Ultimately (only) two elementary coping strategies for children / every toddler who must fear for the bond with the primary caregiver when it shows vital essential emotions / needs (anger / sadness), justified natural expression, depressed repeating from caregiver(s). (internalised) message here: "Your vital needs are NOT OK. Your emotions are wrong. You are wrong. Be different than you are. Suppress these emotions, suppress yourself." In historically traditional education (not only that of the West), which reflects representative societies that primarily educate "to fit in" for conformism, for following and not for self-responsibility, attachment- and developmental trauma are the rule, not the exception. **Coping strategy option 1:** Shifting/separating from own emotions. Overfocus, hypervigilance on the outside, on the attachment figure. Typical later on: very sensitive to the other person and their states, feelings, hunches, intentions, etc. Such people usually become/act very attentive, compassionate, sympathetic, obliging with others, but find it difficult to connect to themselves, to what they need, how they set boundaries, which would be a healthy level. They often automatically/unconsciously count themselves out in their interactions. Tend to lack overt / covert self-esteem or self-care. __*These are usually the so-called "super-empaths", people-pleasers, etc.*__ **Coping strategy option 2:** (Inner) separation, splitting off from the primary attachment figure and their needs/wants/demands. Follow belief: "You - the other outside of myself - you don't exist." Stay completely with yourself. Later being trapped in oneself, super-egocentric. "See" the outside world, other people only according to one's own wishes and fears. abuse as objects (emotionally). (projective identification) NOT being able to perceive humans (and animals) as independent subjects, whose needs may be completely different from their own, have no value (for them). __*This is usually the case with so called: narcissists, histrionics, sociopaths, psychopaths, etc.*__ These two opposing but complementary strategies attract each other extremely magnetically, very strongly and until they have recognised, dealt with and successfully transformed their old, outdated, stuck coping strategies from childhood. As long as this does not happen, the most horrific dramas and tragedies develop from these constellations and couples, from the unconscious urge to re-enact. Around half experience certain to severe re-traumatisation within and through the relationship dynamics. About 3 to 8% of them have a mortal/fatal outcome.
