THIS is how you make a Hanfu video. Thanks for providing historical relics to debunk all the haters! You should watermark it before someone steals it for their own “historical evidence.”

Chinese traditional clothes are really beautiful and elegant loved all the outfits😍💞

Yisa Yinisa I do not think they would class as "traditional" but "historical", after all this video shows recreations of outfits spanning two millennia, and you cannot pin down any particular style as the typical and defining Chinese style. Furthermore, all but one were for the top level of the social hierarchy of their time, the exception being the farmer's wife's outfit at 2:59.

But they are still forms of our traditional clothing.

Seele2015au We consider historical Korean or Japanese clothing as traditional clothing, but why can’t Chinese historical clothing be considered traditional? This is one of the reasons why Chinese culture in dying.

Traditional Chinese clothes are so tasteful and elegant…… I just wish Sun Yet Sen’s China had been réalisés and maybe much of this would have been normalized for different functions (marriages, festivals etc.). Truly beautiful and refined.

Hanfu is starting to make a comeback into daily fashion, kind of like lolita fashion. So you can sometimes see people wearing hanfu in the streets.

This is true all over the world, look at traditional clothing no matter the country and its amazingly beautiful. No matter if it is European countries or Asian or middle eastern or wherever. Clothes nowadays are just made for simplicity and comfort but lack style.
根据明朝诗文描述,所谓高丽风的特点是方领、半臂裁 According to the ancient poems of the Ming Dynasty,The features of so-called "Goryeo-style" is "方領: square collar"、"半臂裁: vest cut from the half arm" 根据这个特点,我们有一款衣服叫坦领半臂,它在唐朝就已经存在了 According to the features , we have a clothes called 坦领半臂 that already existed in the Tang Dynasty 马尾裙是一种用马尾编织的衬裙,当时大都数汉人穿的是马面裙,马面裙和马尾群完全不一样。马面裙起源于宋朝。 The ponytail skirt is a petticoat knitted with ponytails. At that time, most Han people wore a skirt called mamian, which was completely different from the ponytail skirt. The mamian skirt originated in the Song Dynasty. 弘治初,一给事中建言:“京中士人好著马尾衬裙,因此官马被人偷拔鬃尾,有误军国大计。乞要禁革。”。 "People in Beijing like wearing ponytail skirts, causing ponytails of official horse to be stolen,it is harmful to the country’s military, request to ban it"
I hate this cultural appropriation b.s. I want to wear those clothes😭 So pretty......

You can wear them, as long as you know where it comes from and basic knowledge of it. 😀 It's fun to experience, when you're wearing something of thousands year old culturally.

It's not cultural appropriation, it's cultural appreciation. Also, if non-Chinese wear Chinese outfits, the Chinese are actually very happy to see it because they know their culture is being appreciated.

To be honest, ancient clothing dyes should not be fluorescent colors like in the video, because fluorescent colors are synthesized by chemical processes, but in ancient times natural pigments from ores and plants were used

How do you know they didn’t use the literal exact methods to dye the fabrics? Are you perhaps at all familiar with the fact that paintings, murals and statues lose their vibrancy of colour with time? These were literally made by people recreating historically accurate hanfu…. Not to mention those colours are not “florescent”
@mimimoneymachine Жыл бұрын
That only applies to western attire. China’s dye and silk industry was one of the strongest in ancient times.
