Fast slice drop shot to both side would be the best (if you smash thyere is chance of opponent male player may take it but if you do shorter fast slice smash then it will be most efective. Lee

Hello. My dad and i have been long time fans. I've recently decided to adapt to your style of coaching for my college team in Ontario. I've been adapting my own play to your style and I've seen considerable improvements especially with my smash. Your stop-start technique is outstanding! But i played a tournament in Northern Ontario this past weekend and while my partner didn't wish to learn your style of mixed, i certainly used it and it payed off. We ended up in 2nd place. So thank you for these videos and i hope more are to come, specifically singles. I don't suppose you have extra racket head covers? They are very hard to find.

Hi Coach Lee! I look forward to train these techniques with my mixed double partner. Where do I find more help about the defense and the attack position of male and female player? How to know if we should play side by side (defense) or in front/back (attack)! How are the general rules and how to improve by training. Looking forward for your advice. (we have played together for 2 years)

I think the best way is to view the mixed double related clips in my channel and let me know if you have questions. If you lift huttlecock to opponent then you should et your self side by side but your lady partner should be standing cross direction to the shuttlecock. If opponent lift shuttlecock then your lady partner should move in net area and you should be taking the shot. Lee

Hey coach. At the 8 min mark you have the high cross return followed by defending female player going cross. However I do not have the speed to switch sides,or defend the short straight drop by male player. What is the main reason for the female in case of cross lob not just going straight backwards. It saves a lot of time.

MrXpertsport, you can read the content in the video right? It says positioning and choice of shots. It doesn't say how to train.

i'm a little confused at 2:29, why does the female have to move cross-court after she lifts straight? and why she doesn't need to if she lifts cross court at 3:14?
@coachingbadminton
@coachingbadminton 12 жыл бұрын
For the backhand, you have to understand the key skills first and have to train and repeat it (put must effort) For mixed, Please ask me a question by question. My understanding is bit slow so please spend a littlemore time to explain your question. Lee

Hey coach lee, just curious, why if the female player lifts straight, she should move cross court?
@coachingbadminton
@coachingbadminton 10 жыл бұрын
that is all about the mixed doubles. That way she will be away from the shuttlecock and man face the shuttlecock stright line. So she will defend opponent smash easier as I pointed out why on this clip. Lee

coachingbadminton Thanks for your reply. So the lady would be able to stay "in front" at the same time, right?
@coachingbadminton

Not too close as then the smash will come too fast to her. She should move back to be able to defend opponent smash. Lee

Coach, I don't understand wuy the female partner has to move to the other side when she lifts straight.
@coachingbadminton-korean9409
@coachingbadminton-korean9409 9 жыл бұрын
If she is better player or similar level player with her partner then she does not have to move to the close side. But if her partner is much stronger player then she should move to close side. That way she will be away from opponent male attack. She has better chance of return from close side then straight direction. Smash will be much faster to her if she is facing opponent male player straight direction. Lee
