The backhand rubber He Zhuojia (a CNT player) uses is Butterfly Soft Feint, which is 半长半生胶。Trying to playing to someone skillful of using that rubber, he/she would mess up your mind and game big time.
There is a ping pong technique that is lost among young players. I was trained to wrap the ball. Yes, wrap like you would wrap an apple with paper. Regardless of the spin, whether it's from long pip, short pip or reverse pip, after you wrap the ball, the ball is trapped and you can do whatever to the ball. Never heard of wrapping? No surprise.

she's great player, but come on!!!! why every long pips tutorial says the long pips ONLY reverse the spin??? That is NOT TRUE! It depends on how the long pips contact the ball! Usually it involves, at moment of contact, the amount of RUB, the direction of the RUB (sideway rubs do NOT reverse spins!!!), and the position of the racket which VARIES the amount of reversal or NONE at all sometimes when combined with the direction. That is why it's difficult against long pips. _ One more thing about long pips that make it difficult - the side swerve and/or front/back pace change once the ball bounce is soooooo many variations, I do not yet understand all of them, which force me to react to the ball bounce/ swerve PASSIVELY rather than actively, thus missing good timing to kill the ball! _ ALL TUTORIALS I've seen are all about dealing with reversal of spin.... who doesn't know that after 1 time playing against them? come on! I want advanced long pips tutorial! I'm talking about REAL long pips master , AMATEUR level. Do NOT forget long pips can smash good too! especially after a combination of the above 3 factors of changing the spin/pace, it forces our pushes to pop up just enough for them to smash a hard one, often no spin / bottom spin when it gets to our racket.... who doesn't know how to handle spin reversal? it's in the little details that we are confused about!

In this video Coach OuYang proposed some patterns for you guys, and each of them is based on the basic principles - reverse the spin. Although not all the come-back are so obvious, they obey the rule. In real case the fighters against long-pips-player must set their own patterns of attacking with their unique specialises.

Yes, a good long pimples player can smash, can topspin, can counter, can add more variations to their games. In this case, there isn't any strategy that works against everyone because their strength and weaknesses would be different. What you can do would be building your own tactics based on the players strength and weaknesses, while not forgetting the spin reversal and keep in mind to not add complicated spins making yourself suffer. The side swipe you hate, as long as your shot does not have too much spin, the side swipe is nothing but a weak sidespin return. Good players will try to force you to add spin so they can utilise their side swipe to make you suffer, and you just need to be careful to not fall on their trap. You have mentioned the amount of spin from long pimple is different between different rubbers, and your pushes popping up. Well, that could be the long pimple players have faked their movements and make you misjudge the spins. There's nothing you can do than getting used to their rubber neutral return, and finding out when they were faking when they were not as soon as possible during a match.
