Excerpts from the “Concept of Love in the Dream of the Red Chamber”

What are the values and the concept of love pursued in the Dream of the Red Chamber?
This lecture teaches students about the way love stories are narrated in the Dream of the Red Chamber, how to distinguish between love and lust, and identify differences between men and women in the social context. In addition, the love between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu is explored to enlighten students about the nature of love.
