Nice demonstration. His knowledge of styles and forms in encyclopedic. The flip kick, like at :35, I would use as an inner hook, to lift their leg up and throw them down since you already have control of his upper body in that sequence and are turning. It is very sneaky and hard for them to defend lol

Excellent presentation! One can learn without understanding the Cantonese language, so subtitles in other languages will be even more helpful. Does the teacher have fully fledged learning materials with fuller instruction on systems such as Eagle Claw and Hung Gar?

Never see such technique used in MMA. Will be interesting to see how BJJ or Muay Thai techniques vs Eagle and Hung Kuen.
@ksbenn52842 жыл бұрын
i'm no expert in Hung Kuen, but experienced in Wing Chun. Tradition self-defense MA like these are for close range fighting where the fight starts cuz someone is attacking u so he must be within striking range. MMA and the likes are long range fighting where both sides pre-agreed to fight and the fight starts when someone gives the signal while 2 sides are far apart. Don't compare oranges and apples.
@ksbenn52842 жыл бұрын
look at his demo, in all the techniques described, both sides are touching arms, that's close range fighting. Round house, side kick found in Muay Thai long range fighting techniques. One is apple, one is orange
