Kongu has a very long and unwieldy route that is longer by around 100 kms. as compared to the Kerala /Himsagar Exp. route, though it does an important task of linking 2 important cities i.e. Kacheguda/Secunderabad and Yesvantpur/Bengaluru with both New Delhi and Coimbatore and indeed Salem-Erode and Tiruppur in TN, in addition to Hosur and Dharmapuri (primarily with Hyderabad and New Delhi.Other than this Coimbatore passengers eagerly await at least a triweekly connection between New Delhi and Coimbatore via Nagpur-Vijayawada-Gudur-Renigunta-Katpadi.

fantastic! i can recall my KSK journey so much from this. Malwa crossed me at exactly the same location. And KSK is made to trail all these trains for no reason! did you miss the Omega loop, Bangalore Raj & TN crossings? how was the food of this train?

Perks of being in an AC coach after a long time for a non AC Traveller is that you miss many thing. I was having my lunch during the Omega Loop and missed many Crossings while being inside. The main thing was I had a lot of struggle with the food as this train doesn't have any Pantry Car so all you have to rely on is outside food at the stations or online food orders
