@@paulinec5420 Very grateful that you are an attentive Bible reader. It is very unfortunate that most of Ron Wyatt's findings were not subject to peer review, and if they did, the findings were concluded to be questionable. As the location of Mt Sinai being in Saudi Arabia (instead of Sinai Pennisula), the only textual argument is Galatians 4:25 where Mount Sinai is said to be in "Arabia." But in the first-century Roman period (in Paul's time), "Arabia" refers to the region east of the Nile Delta all the way to the Persian Gulf. In other words, Paul's "Arabia" is not the same as modern "Saudi Arabia". Paul would have understood the Sinai Penisula and Arabian Peninsula. Hope this helps. Again, grateful for your attentive reading of the Bible.

陳牧師,真心感謝你無私的教導。今天看到挪亞方舟只是地區性洪水,我也明白了當時的人看地球是平面的,但創世紀22節又清楚寫下“everything that breathed and lived on dry land died"。聖經是神默示的,“地區性洪水”這個發現真的令我很困惑啊,是說聖經寫的不是真實嗎?🙏
「舟八口,舟八口,舟八口」Thx for helping me out of that eternal loop

Dear Pastor Mark, So even the findings of the Red Sea and all the artifect s by Ron Wyatt are questionable, then? Video s shoed chariot remains inside the coral at the bed of the Red Sea sight he videoed, right? So the Israelites crossed at Reed Sea , a shallow sea, but then how the water would be enough to drown the Egyptian armies le? I am v puzzled. The reason I want to find out more is I face challenging questions from my three young adults and a hubby that gone through a Bible course in a local seminary 35yrs ago. Each time I show them some findings, I will face challenges. TKS for keep on replying my questions, TKS so much

@@paulinec5420 Pauline, thanks for your many questions. The "chariots" have been debunked. As mentioned, Wyatt's findings had never been peer-viewed. You may check out many available comments by professional archaeologists, such as Joe Zias of IAA: www.tentmaker.org/WAR/Zias.html. As to the location of Reed Sea, the best archaeological study has been done by Dr. James Hoffmeier (evangelical Egyptologist, former teacher of mine at Wheaton, now at Trinity). Yes, the shallow reed sea has been proposed by many to be to the location of Israelite's crossing. But today's reed sea is swallow because the Suez Canal built in the 19th century had drained most of the deep lagoons. On top of that, the Suez canal area, northern shore of Sinai and the eastern Delta have undergone significant environmental changes. One must go back to the 2nd millennium BCE historical geography at the time of Exodus. Hoffmeier's valuable research reconstructs the ancient environment of the Reed Sea area, concluding that the Suez canal area was dotted by deep lagoons. The famous Israelite sea-crossing probably happened at the Ballah Lakes, now completely drained and gone. Some preliminary geoarchaeological studies estimated the water of the lakes was at least 20 feet. In this region of lagoons, the remains of a harbor with boat-docking quays were uncovered, indicating that 2000 years ago a lake large enough to handle trading vessels flourished (note it was 2000 years ago - the first century; Exodus brings us back another 1500 years when the paleoenvironment could have been different, hence more archaeological research is required). Hoffmeier's book Ancient Israel in Sinai is one of the best. Also see his lecture: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2PZmaWBa7yWsNU

@@paulinec5420 These are very good questions. The first principle of interpreting ancient Scripture is to first understand how the ancient audience would have understood the text. I brought up the ancient Babylonian world map to illustrate further the ancient and biblical world would not have understood a global flood. They perceived the world as a flat disc. The Bible does not teach a flat earth, though. However, the Bible was first communicated in the ancient context with ancient cosmological concepts in mind. But no matter the flood is regional, it doesn't affect the universal global theological message of the biblical narrative. Hope this helps and i certainly hope to address this sort of questions in the future messages or live talks. Thanks again for your enlightening comments.
