개인적으로 아이돌은 지오디시절부터 봐왔었는데 갠적으로 옛날 아이돌 지오디가 좋아요 가사가 마음에 와닿고 감동이느껴진다고해야하나.. 반복적인 영어문장반보 사랑노래밖에없는 요즘 아이돌들과는 다르다고생각함...

It was unconsciously done since they danced it for hundred or even thousand times back in the days. yes, they've been dancing and singing to their old songs like over 1000 times, so of course they would memorize it even if it was over 10 years ago. You should include NRG and Shinhwa members as well, all of the 1st generation idols memorized their dances from the past because their songs have been performed and sang so many times. And they see younger idols perform their songs many times as well, so it's not hard for them to remember lol

Yeah, they do forget some during practice hahah Their juniors can teach them hahah Sometimes, I'm sure, even H.O.T., Sechskies, and G.O.D forget some of their dance steps too, if you watch Handsome Boys of the 20th Century, Sechskies members forgot their dance steps of Pom Saeng Pom Sa, especially Jiwon, even though this song has been played more than thousand times, and been performed by their juniors a lot. They still forgot. H.O.T members also sometimes forgot theirs too. But yeah, like you said, they can still quite remember every details, even if they sort of forgot some parts.

It shows how rigid training was back then. I remember one of the H.O.T guys said that they practiced the choreo for Warrior's Descendants (their debut song) so many times that it's become muscle memory. As in, a manager randomly plays a part of the song and their bodies immediately dance the moves to it. It's amazing and insane at the same time.

cmq23 yeah. It's for them to become professionals and good with their physical bodies like for real. Because if you are becoming a boyband or girl groups, there will be singing, dancing, and acting (for emotions) all together. Also, I bet they have to train their personalities also to be able to be likable by the public. That's what celebrities are to do.

내가 딱 정리해준다. 지오디가 십대팬에 편중되어 있는 에쵸티에 비에 전세대적인 인기를 얻었던 것 맞고 거짓말이랑 길은 단일 음반판매량이 에쵸티 음반 최고 판매량보다 많았던 게 사실이고 2000년대 지오디 음반이 대박쳤고 대상 탈만했음. 단지 팬덤 기준으로 따지면 에쵸티가 훨씬 컸던 게 맞음. 지오디 전성기 때 음반이 잘 팔리긴 했는데 곡이 히트해서 잘 팔린거지 그걸 다 가수의 팬덤이라고 하기는 무리가 있음. 그 증거로 실제로 200만장 가까이 팔아치운 거짓말이나 길만큼 대중적으로 히트치지 못한 다음 앨범들부터는 판매량이 저조했으니까. 그래서 메가히트한 앨범이 둘이나 있고 에쵸티에 비해 정규앨범이 두 개 더 많지만 총집계하면 에쵸티가 더 많이 팔렸고. 지오디에 비해서 에쵸티는 어떤 음반을 들고 나오더라도 팔아줄 충성적인 거대팬덤이 존재했고. 5집만이 100만장 돌파를 못 하고 87만장 정도로 집계되지만 이건 활동 1개월 정도동안만 집계한 수치라서 그런 걸로 알고 있음. 결론을 이야기하면 지오디는 전세대적으로 사랑받은 초히트곡을 냈지만 팬덤 자체는 에쵸티만큼 크지 않았음. 그랬다고 인기가 없다는 게 아니고 에쵸티 팬덤이 너무 거대했던 거... 에쵸티가 스타트를 찍어서 인기 많은 것뿐이라고 비하하는 글도 있는데 그렇게치면 지오디도 운 좋게 인기프로그램 얻어걸려서 얻은 인기가 되는 거임. 시작이 어쨌든 곡이 좋고 그룹자체도 매력이 있으니까 히트친 거고 에쵸티도 그 뒤로 쏟아져나온 그룹들 안에서 줄곧 정점을 찍은 건 그럴 만했기 때문인 건데 왜 못 물어뜯어 안달들임? 미리 인기를 선점해서? 가수 인기순서가 데뷔순이었음? 에쵸티 좋아했다가도 넘어갈 애들은 다 넘어갔음. 휴식기가 드럽게 길어서. 실제 활동기간은 3년 활동한 젝키보다도 짧을 텐데 그 놈의 선점 드립도 지겹다.
