H.R.Giger inspired Alien Bar rebuild Part 1: Lichtenberg burn and UV Resin

I'm a very big fan of Alien, Predator and also of the whole "Giger Universe". In 2012 I found a wooden pallet, which I take home and began to build a bar. Inspired by my favourite artist H.R.Giger, the bar design was something like „Alien-Style“.
Now in 2019, I refinish some parts of this beauty….
In this part you see me doing some Lichtenberg figures with an old microwave oven transformer and filling the burns with UV active epoxy or rather epoxy resin with UV powder mixed in.
In this order:
Grinding the wood (40, 80, and 120 grit) to remove the old surface, mix water with baking soda, high voltage (BE CAREFUL!!!), wire brush the carbon, mixing epoxy resin with UV powder, pour it and wait to dry. Grinding afterwards and done is part 1!!
STAY tuned for the UPGRADES!! An Alien 3 diorama river table...sounds crazy, but is the plan!!
