H.R. McMaster calls Biden threat to withhold weapons from Israel "feckless"

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will stand alone if it has to after President Biden announced the U.S. would pause sending certain military weapons if the IDF launches an offensive on Gaza's southern city of Rafah. Former national security adviser retired Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster joined CBS News and said he was disappointed by Mr. Biden's threat.

There's no question that village idiot Bush and others behind him turned a counter strike vs terrorists and even vs Hussein into a globalist nation building boondoggle. But we can't go myopic and pretend it's 1939 again. We learned a lot back then and the world is a lot smaller now than then. Our departure from Afghanistan was a disaster. This bizarre treatment of Israel is being observed by Mr. Xi and Col. Putin. We could very easily find ourselves with our backs to the wall unnecessarily fighting a NATO/European war and a pacific Rim mess in China's backyard. The goal is to discourage either from happening, not having to win after the attacks have been launched and the dictators's prestige is on the line and he can't withdraw (like Putin, since Biden and Obama didn't pick up a phone and man-up in 12/21, before Ukraine atrocity. Ukraine is a highway to NATO and Orban and likely others are already planning to knuckle under to their Russian master unless we and our semi-feckless allies man-up and show the better red than dead crowd that we still got game. The dynamic with Putin needs to be changed dramatically. He's not entitled to that country and he needs to learn it. I just don't see any leaders that can bring any of this off. Dangerous times.

HR McMaster fought in a very violent tank battle in 1991 against the Iraqi Republican Guard Armored Divisions at the Battle of 73 Easting. McMaster and his M1 Abrams tanks came over a small rise in the desert landscape, and once they crested that rise, his tank platoons were staring down the barrels of many T-72 tanks dug in to a reverse slope defense. Without breaking stride, his tank platoons opened fire while at speed, charging the enemy position while firing, destroying tank after tank after armored fighting vehicle after tank. They continued firing while driving through a detonating minefield that had been laid by the Iraqi’s as part of their defense. I highly suggest finding the Battle of 73 Easting, looking for a longer video, approximately 45 minutes long. If this info is new to you, you will be amazed at the info you find on that fight.
