At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Hurrem was always mindful about Ibrahim's Grandvazier post. But Ibrahim was never bothered for Hurrem's Sultana status. if Ibrahim would have taken Hurrem seriously...he could have got rid himself from many problems. This was his rooky mistake.N Hurrem was always careful wherein they all took her lightly. Even Suleyman. Suleyman himself couldn't know when Hurrem started rulling him 😀

Let's not forget that she love Ibrahim. She wanted to be fair to both sides that's why she wanted to leave, for good. But Hurrem took advantage and delivered Nigar to Hatice, instead of just letting her go for the sake of the baby and for their friendship. Yes, Nigar may have betrayed her in the past but that was uncontrollable situations. She was torn between Hurrem and Ibrahim. She does not deserve the cruelty. She had done so much to protect Hurrem but now she is trying to protect the life inside her but Hurrem betrayed her big time. I cried a lot for Nigar

Like Hurrem and Mahidevran ( even if they can really took care of Hatice in their own way until a point), her father who traumatized her and her siblings, Ibrahim and Suleiman ( we don't have even to explain their faults, at least Hurrem and Mahidevran used her for try to winning their politicals and by extension their survival and that of their children but her husband and ESPECIALLY her brother are the worst). A lot of this people started this war against her in my opinion ... And when her two sisters came for REALLY help her( Sah and Beyhan) it was unfortunatey too late for her... But I don't deny Hatice faults , she can be snobbish because her dynasty, didn't understand well the distress of slaves ( when Hurrem arrive to her first day and ask her freedom, Hatice would only focalise on her beauty , I was shocked) and to the end like you said my friend she become more volatile , and selfish like using poor girls as concubines , use the poor Nadia, kidnap Nigar pregnant and hide her girl ,etc... Kudos for Selma , but also for all the actors they managed to make Hollywood actors pale with their magnificent performances :)

@@nesiacha3659 to be honest, Sah has me a bit conflicted. On one front, she did show that even though she's cold and distant, she still has some amount of love and care for her little sister. But at the same time, she could see that Hatice was in pain and yet she made herself at home in Hatice's palace and helped herself in Hatice's money. And she arranged for Hatice to remarry even though Hatice was dead against it
