6:52 There are ways that Apple can make that less confusing for customers. Just ship iPadOS right out of the factory, and don't do anything fancy like transitioning into a macOS-like interface when the iPad is docked, but for more tech savvy people, allow people to enter a bootloader and select another operating system of their choice, one of the options being macOS. And sure, to make the touch experience a bit more tolerable on macOS, they could do a few things like bringing the touch keyboard over to macOS and enlarge some of the UI buttons and menus. This way, the development of iPadOS will not be affected and people who prefer iPadOS will continue to enjoy a sleek, elegant and minimalist touch-first operating system. But as you said, I think they have realized that doing what I'm suggesting that they do really won't hurt the user experience for iPadOS users at all and will only make the iPad form factor and hardware more compelling, which will hurt the sales of traditional clamshell form factor MacBooks, while Apple wants the revenue from you getting both a MacBook AND and iPad. I know, that's the typical iPad hater's point of view, but if they don't do what I'm suggesting in the next 2 years at most, I'm afraid I will have to agree with the cynical point of view.
