“हाथी के दांत” | Award Winning Street Play | Inter IIT Cultural Meet 5.0

It can manifest in various forms such as snobbishness, name-dropping, or intellectual snobbery, and is often seen as a negative trait that can have a harmful impact on individuals and society.
In general, pretension refers to an attempt to appear more important, sophisticated, or wealthy than one actually is. It can be seen as an attempt to project an image of oneself that is not genuine or authentic.
Masquerades - The Dramatics Society of IIT BHU presents its award-winning annual street play production - “हाथी के दांत” which bagged 2nd position in the Inter IIT Cult Meet 5.0,to accentuate the growing wilderness of “Pretension” in our daily life, as well as its negative impact on the society and at the international level.
The street play takes a dig on the so-called “Pretension”- and its negative impacts like Loss of Authenticity, Deception, Stress and Anxiety, Alienation and Negative Perception and how it causes physical harm to others and how we all are associated with it in one way or another and contribute to its growing wickedness.
