Hello, thanks for the info, My medical was late after interview so I was refused, however it was sent over on the 1st of this month and we got approved on the 2nd. So I did my interview at my embassy, they told me that my visa was approved and they took my passport. One month later, I checked my status and it says it was refused. I am really in a panic because this is my fourth time requesting a J1 visa and I have never had any problems before. Also, I have not received any email or information from the embassy. It is really frustrating waiting for an answer. I hope they give me any answer before the start day of my summer camp.

Hello sir, why does ceac shows the message that all your documents are received and approved and consular officer refuse the visa after the interview asking for additional financial documents? Also the officer didnot mention anything on what to do next? Should i wait to hear from them thru email/CEAC message or upload new financial documents right away in ceac for further processing? what does it mean by officer has adjudicated and refuse your visa? Its so much hassle that these officers doesnot explain anything at all. Also my refusal paper doesnot have administrative processing ticked and my passport was given to me right after the interview. My is an immigrant visa,from Africa,Liberia. My interview was June 27th 2023,which was done ✅ but my medical wasn’t ready. My medical came in, and I summited it on August 28th of this year with my passport and after three days they send my husband mail asking 20plus questions and we responded the next,through mail. And after 14days they send another mail to my husband that the program had been terminated. And when I visited the visas status check my case is refused,with one person ready. My next question is,can the principal applicant be refused and the child be ready? Anyway we’re family of five. Hope to get response soon ✌️

In your case, it is not clear why your visa was refused, but it is possible that your child's visa is ready because they meet all of the eligibility requirements. Hi, I had my interview on 25th Jan from Montreal consulate and I was issued a 221g letter and asked for my additional documents which includes original birth certificate, criminal record check and my passport. @@miguelibarra1301 yes I got it. I had to make the return request using a web form in the Colombian embassy. Frequently asked question. If you do not find your question please ask here using this form. And after that I got an answer after 3 or 5 days. They returned me my passport with my current visa cancelled and told me to book an appointment for an interview with a consul officer but the appointments are for 2025 I think.

Hi, asking for a friend. He applied for a B2 visa and was interviewed June 8th. He received a 221g document saying that he had to submit one additional document (both in the native language and certified English translation). He followed the consulate’s exact instructions on how to send the email and sent it a week after his interview. When he checked CEAC it said the date last updated was June 16th, which was the date he sent the required documents through email. Status still shows refused. Does this mean that they’re actively reviewing his case?

@@nikkismith581 hey! So it’s completely ok that it says “refused” and the date changes if the visa is under 221G. That happened to me several times with my L1A. The status was refused and the date updated several times, meaning every time they checked the case or the system updated with some new information or documentation, the date was updated, meaning the case was in administrative processing. It took around 35 days since I had the interview and got the approved status in the CEAC platform.

My husband attended his interview 2/22/24. The embassy requested I travel to his country and show proof of having been there recently. (I landed 3/20/24-04/02/24) We sent via DHL courier as the embassy instructed all of the documents and my husbands passport 4/8/24. Today 4/15/24 the CEAC visa tracker says refused: a visa officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. We haven’t received any instructions since an email 4/4/24 requesting we send all the documents via the DHL nearest the embassy and again listed the same requested documents. So we’re not really refused?!?
