Beautiful job I really enjoyed watching that video. I wish I had the skill to do exactly what you just did. The only motor Iv ever rebuilt is a 50cc. I know that's nothing compared to H22A.

What did you do with the cylinders? They don't look sleeved, did you hone the cylinders with that RMF coating in there or did you just install the rings with the factory RMF cylinder coating?

There are markings on the crank and block that tell you which color bearings to put where. Also, for the rod bearings, it is safe to use all green bearings (depending on the oil weight of course).

Well the OEM gasket unless youre doing a performance build in that case the gasket you use depends on what you're doing to the engine.

there is no oil pan gasket from factory for 98 engine prelude..they just use sealant .oil pan also came with Aluminium material different from older model h22a design oil pan

should have done the valve seals while you were at it , they go bad in these engines pretty regularly

Vtec wont work, because the seal is missing, you did the same thing alot of people do and forgot to put the center seal back on the head.

Bald Vulture a seal goes on the end of something to retain fluid within, he’s missing a gasket. I mean if your going to talk shit at least make sure you know what the fuck your talking about... You do the same thing a lot of these internet guys do and think you know everything

I didn’t use that seal and vetc still worked in my h23a but it was kind of inconsistent and it would roll into vtec sometimes instead of snapping into it

@@jamesstewart1794 update 3 years later, h22 FRM sleeves can not be serviced at a regular machine shop,none near me actually, so I'd have to get the block re-sleeved to have normal compression,so I switched to F20b and never had issues since.
