With over 20 slides and attractions, H2OBX, a water park located near the Outer Banks - and themed to the history of the area - opened in the summer of 2017. Whether you want to brave the thrill rides of the park or relax in the lazy river or wave pool, H2OBX is a great place to beat the summer heat. Located in Powells Point, NC , less than 7 miles from the northern end of the Outer Banks, this water park is a great way to take a break from the beaches for a day in your OBX vacation, while still enjoying cooling off in the water. In this video, we take you on a tour, discuss some of the slides we rode and experiences we had in visiting the park with some friends of ours.

It has been a hot summer so this was a great idea to beat the heat. The cabana's are nice, but man, that's expensive. But nice to have. 😂😂. I'd have to agree with Alice since I have had melanoma. It's good to stay protected. My favorite part of a water park is the lazy river and the wave pools. Your cocktail looks so good. Be safe, Bill and DeAnna

Yeah, it was definitely the right choice. But it was a pretty expensive choice. We often pay less for a hotel room for a whole night with a lot more amenities. Thankfully though it did keep us from getting burned as badly as we did last year. And that cocktail was delicious! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Looks like a fun water park! Especially thinking of all the heat lately LOL! That’s a lot of cabanas, they seem to be super expensive everywhere now sadly. They look really lovely though! Great it has a server too. I agree with “happy wife, happy life!” 🤣 the currituck sunset looks lovely and the perfect poolside drink! Lots of dining options. Some of those slides I would be a chicken on 🤣 I love wave pools! I laughed at the “complimentary” brownies and Rice Krispies haha! Glad they were good though!! Glad you didn’t get burnt like last year. Too bad there aren’t many shaded spots without paying. Glad you had a great time still though!! 😊 great video as always! 💜☀️

Last year I visited the waterpark for the first time (thank god for my sister in law who was my tour guide) and we had lunch being hungry after trying all the rides. I had a turkey leg which was healthy and delicious!

This water park is pretty cool. I told my wife I want a cabana next time. In Vegas, one of the outdoor clubs had it also for $30,000. Levels in the cabana game. Nice GoPro shot. I got a hand mount and love it.

I am with you Jack, very expensive Cabana. The complimentary treat are a token jest, not to soften the blow on the price tag! On the other hand protection is important and poor old Stephanie with her Lilly White skin did get some sun burn. I suppose one doesn't have much choice when there isn't much shade around. They have done a rubber duck charity race like that in the creek where we live every summer for many years. We drove past this waterpark on our way out of the Outer Banks last year, and we were bummed that we didn't know about it earlier!

This is the first time we saw a rubber duck charity race. It is a fun idea. The water park is fun. I wish you knew about H2OBX on your trip and that several other things went differently on your Outer Banks trip too. I was so sure you were going to have a great time and then it did not work out as hoped. I am glad you still had a good time in Williamsburg and Virginia Beach and Washington DC though. We love those places too.

I’ve never talked negatively about anything on a video or review but I’m sorry you had to get your own refills after paying $249 for a cabana and the cost of the mug?! And the food was so skimpy it looked subpar at best. This is not okay the cost to get in is already too much they should do better and people should stop going
