Turns out it stands for visual supply company and the stereotype of the girls is usually tall, white, thin, long wavy hair, little to no makeup, expensive backpacks, clothes suitable for the beach or nearby, shell necklaces, scrunchies, birkenstocks, and at least a tangential, trendy interest in saving the environment with reusable water bottles and straws. They may try to blackmail them, or use their unique abilities as a way to make money. They may also want to experiment scientifically on the girls, like Dr Denman does in the show. If people did not believe the girls´ claims that they are mermaids, they may believe that the girls are delusional or suffering from some kind of mental disorder. This could cause trouble for the girls since they could end up being forced into some kind of treatment.

First off, it's Cleo. But that's okay. And second, the first time I watch this show, I agree, Cleo Sertori was extremely whiny. But it's only because of her human mind and some past things. Maybe nobody ever taught her how to swim. I don't know. But I think it just proves being a mermaid is totally, absolutely, awesome and that it can completely change someone's life. I'm glad she gradually got better. If not, now she would be too scared to save the world with Rikki and Isabella and me and you wouldn't exist anymore. (I know it's a T.V. Show it's just so real to me okay?.)

She was scared of water and not even 15 at the time of that episode. I agree that she had her annoying moments in the beginning, but the way she always lived her life suddenly didn't make sense anymore, I understand how it can be scary. She quickly changed her mind though, it was mostly momentary.
