About the swimming guy, this is a comment from the video by Ryan Rutherford: This guy is called Eric Moussambani and he is from Equatorial Guinea. He swam for the first time less then a year before the Sydney Olympics. He was taught to swim in the sea by local fishermen and once a week was allowed to use a private 10m swimming pool. When he saw the Olympic swimming pool he said he didn't think he could swim that far and wanted to drop out, but was convinced to continue by the USA swimming coach who also taught him freestyle as he had never heard of it before. He was nicknamed 'Eric the Eel' by the media and was one of the most talked about athletes at the Sydney Olympics.

Ethan's thoughts on home flipping are spot on. As someone who has done this, I can say it's definitely NOT for most people. There's a high amount of risk with attempting to flip houses. You make all the money on the buy, and not the sale. Finding a property below market value in a decent neighborhood is IMO the most important factor. These HGTV couples bother my husband - especially when the wife treats the husband like he's a little kid. "You know best, honey! Let me just knock down this wall!" Flipping involves a lot of hard work and at least one of you needs to be extremely handy (not just the casual DIYer), and have extensive knowledge about carpentry, electric, plumbing, HVAC, etc. so you don't have to hire out all the work. We are sort of "slow flippers" and live in the properties while we make improvements and cash flow them. One of our homes required termite tenting and extensive cleaning before even moving in. I have lived without kitchen counter tops for a year. It's not at all glamorous or as fun as it looks.
@sydnerella246 жыл бұрын
Jen Talks Forever Wow i love those HGTV shows so this read was really really interesting for me. Thank you!
@sunshinefashionlove6 жыл бұрын
The worst to me are those Facebook and internet ads for home flipping seminars making it sound easy and foolproof. It's anything but that. To get the best deals you really do need to pay in cash - but how many of us currently have enough money to do that? HGTV/DIY Network personalities not only get paid for doing the show, but also become famous and well-known so of course it's easier for them to buy/sell properties with connections and people who want to live in say - a home renovated by Chip and Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper or Tarek and Christina from Flip or Flop. If you haven't ever heard Dave Ramsey's story about going bankrupt - it's a must watch/listen. On paper he was a millionaire in his 20s, but had a TON in debt for quite a few properties - the bank called all his notes and he didn't have nearly enough money to pay them. He is VERY averse to debt and never encourages anyone to even take out a mortgage. The problem with certain situations - like having more than one mortgage - is that things can go horribly wrong in the worst case scenario. ALWAYS consider the worst that can happen when making financial decisions. Lots of folks buy as much house as they can afford, and we don't do that. We have had mortgages (although we'd like to be able to buy something in cash in the near future) but make sure the monthly payment is a small percentage of our take home pay - never above 20%. Gives us a lot more breathing room and freedom for when life happens. My first home purchase was $64K, 2nd $47K and most recent $169K. The last house was new construction, and not really what we wanted - but the best option at the time. Just sold it for $225K and are now completely debt free!

Ok 17 and 16 I can kind of understand an argument for (although imo still fucking awful when it's teacher and student, it's the age of consent in a lot of places) But 14 yo is actually a goddamned baby? Like a kid. Middle school age ffs
@thefuzzyfurnace6 жыл бұрын
Sarah yeah Christ the thing is in Germany the consent is 14 which this could've been legal which is fucked I think 16 is the proper age tbh
@oliverxhmll6 жыл бұрын
Sarah it's always illegal if it's a student under 18 and a teacher. 16 and 17 is equally bad... In many countries where age of consent is low for example 14 no one over 18 can have legal sex with this person or there are age limits like 4 years older max etc
@tonyprince16326 жыл бұрын
Sarah Yeah but she’s a woman so it’s not like she’ll get in any real trouble for this. She’ll probably just get probation. You women never get the punishments you deserve when it comes to rape/sexual assault and it’s fucking ridiculous.
@robertriedel84446 жыл бұрын
Remove The Focus Cap That is simply wrong. I live in germany and studied the law about this topic quite a lot. Check out §182 Abs 3 StGB
@robertriedel84446 жыл бұрын
Remove The Focus Cap This law is about which age can have sex with which age. Its about what is legal and when its "sexual abuse of a minor" and when not. There is no law about sexual acts with consent. Consent is always required, no matter the age. The law describes that youre doing something illegal when you do (1) or (2) AND meet the requirements after point (2). Meaning that if you dont do act 1 or 2 AND meet the requirements after that its not sexual abuse of a minor and therefor not illegal. (5) even says there will only be investigations if there is a request by the parents or a special public interest. So if the parents agree to it there wont even be investigations in the first place. Which law are you refering to with your 16 yo legal age and where can i read about it?

wow, i am so happy that you guys get your podcasts to trending. I love what you do and i wish i had discovered you when i was way younger because you rule! I listen/watch to everything you upload and keep doing your wonderful deeds. I understand that you both have problems with yourselves but you both motivate me and my girlfriend to support each other and try to be each other's "carer" and so far, i feel that your videos and how you behave has helped us both very much, because we both have similar problems to yours in terms of mental issues. Thank you so much again, and papa bless.

If a teacher were to carry a weapon where would they put it? And what about the possible case wherein deranged student or person would disarm the teacher and then have control of that firearm? That could potentially be a huge safety risk in regards to arming teachers.
@RCWest6 жыл бұрын
Give the guns to big male teachers. And have them place it in the front part of there pants.. BOOM solved the issue. You think a skinny 15 year old can over power a male Vet with a gun??
@steveymcskibbins25696 жыл бұрын
The teacher would carry the gun on them, concealed. And only 20% would be armed. How would the child know which teacher is armed if it is concealed? And if he does happen to attack the teacher, i highly doubt they would be able to disarm them, because the teachers would go through a special training, and learn how to deal with this, and other possible situations

Does anyone here actually believe these teachers would receive the proper gun handling training? 1 week wouldn't be enough. How would teachers even have an accurate shot in a week or just a months training?
@steveymcskibbins25696 жыл бұрын
Sarah M perhaps the teachers could have military background, or not teachers, but armed guards. I dont care wich one, i just want to have someone on campus who is armed and ready to defend the school

Ethan, if you plan to buy a shotgun for home defense, please do some research or get some training. the spread from a shotgun is not very significant inside a home. Alot of people have the same misconception that you can just point and shoot.

As a student who once stole my teachers laptop after her previous 2 were stolen by my classmates, I'm not sure I'd want them to have guns. Teachers aren't the most intimidating people in the world, and they got enough going on to worry about without throwing a fucking gun and military training into the mix.

Honestly, this is not okay on any level. I was a lot of things as a 14 year old boy, exploded into puberty early on, already close to 6 feet tall... but I was not emotionally ready for sex. This is not okay, this is wrong, it needs to be treated as what it is, statutory rape.

@AlexRasengan13376 жыл бұрын
Then it's a pretty much pointless term.
@MK-hs9ck6 жыл бұрын
Cosmin Costea Not true actually, you seem to have 'assault weapons' and 'assault rifles' confused, 'assault weapon' is an ambiguous term that can be interpreted in many ways, 'assault rifle' however is pretty clearly defined as a rifle that has fully automatic and or burst firing capabilities.
@no_misaki6 жыл бұрын
Cosmin Costea You're really grasping at straws to draw your point here.
@WookieWarriorz6 жыл бұрын
Fyodor Dostoyevsky most assault rifles you are able to purchase are semi automatic only though with full auto rifles being hard to get without the appropriate licences in most states. Full auto most gun owners will tell you is fun to use but there is a reason no military's use full auto rifles it's just not as accurate as single shot especially when you can discharge a full clip in less than 2 seconds. spraying just work like most people think it does, it's a good way to waste all your ammo and hit nothing. The worst school shooting were carried out with handguns too.
