Tree Sapp don’t you have anything better to do than be a parrot spouting the same thing over and over? Why do care what people do with their lives?
@Royal_Fortune
@Royal_Fortune 6 жыл бұрын
Tree Sapp first off, my intentions and your intentions are very different; in fact their opposite. I’m not being a hypocrite, I haven’t spouted the same shit everywhere else. You see, you have to rain on everyone’s parade for reasons I don’t know. Could be anything. Maybe you’re just a hateful person, maybe you like to troll, or maybe you have other personal issues that caused you to go around making so many annoyingly parroted responses, I don’t know. However, I do know your not doing anyone any good, you’re not accomplishing much of anything, and you haven’t even attempted to explain how any bodies time is “sad”. You have literally zero ambition. So you see, ironically, the person who has wasted their time the most here is you. It might do you some good to back off from the comments until you can find something else worth putting effort and time into like all the people have that you commented to. Maybe then come back and talk, when you actually have a reason to spend your time doing something, just like all these other people who play for hours.
@Royal_Fortune
@Royal_Fortune 6 жыл бұрын
Tree Sapp wow! I’m actually amazed at just how poor your reading comprehension is. Apparently, you don’t understand hypocrisy because the statement you pointed out doesn’t have a trace of it. It was a question to you and in no way reflects back on me, no matter how much you try or want to spin it as so. Second, you again failed with comprehension as you missed that when I called you out for, note, possible insecurities I included the words maybe before them and the statement “I don’t know” at the end. I mean if you even paid attention to my comment at all that was pretty clear. It all just flew over your head though, didn’t it? I don’t argue out of anger btw, I argue with purpose because I feel there’s a reason to, no feelings involved. Please though, feel free to assume more about me. I’ll leave with this, these people you’ve been calling sad spent all those hours entertaining themselves and every minute of that was worth it as long as it entertained (what games try to do). You, on the other hand, I’m guessing don’t have that good of a reason to tell people their sad. How much entertainment can you really get from that, because you’re comment for sure was never going to effect anyone and make them spend less time. So I’ll ask again, do you really not have anything better to do? I fail to understand why you bother continually posting these comments to people.

I made it to 100 hours(pry closer to 80 with how bad I am at not closing a game) and just stopped cold turkey too. Re-visited like 6 months later. Didn't even make it half the day before I quit again. But damn those hours were seriously addicting and fun.

Ethan didn't put 20 hours into the game because one of the earliest cutscenes introduces the fisherman who then gives you a fishing rod lmao that's like 10-20 minutes in.
@callumbaker3378
@callumbaker3378 6 жыл бұрын
Scar Yeah but who the hell ignores the letter from an NPC while you're still basically in the tutorial section of the game. There's legit no way that you could've gone 20 hours through the game without even once fuckin walking to the beach and seeing that there's a dude who sells fishing gear. Not only that there's also the daily quests and shit where villagers ask for fish occasionally. So even if you never went to the beach in 20 hours of gameplay you'd still find out that there's fishing.

Harvest moon, stardew valley and animal crossing healed my depression, there's just something about seeing your effort and time investment pay off in a somewhat accelerated way, it just tricks your brain into feeling like it's worth it to get out there and do something, those are the type of games that counteract nihilism myth of sisyphus style.

Thank you for sharing this. My husband struggles with depression too and when I found out he's never played any farming sims I suggested Stardew Valley. He's been so much more relaxed and happy. He's playing it right now and marveling at how much fun he's having. I too had a nihilistic perspective on the daily grind until studying Albert Camus. When Albert Camus said "One must imagine Sisyphus happy." in his book The Stranger he was basically saying "You can find joy in the grind." As I see it now I just need to pick a rock I enjoy pushing to the top. All things eventually rise and fall so why not find satisfaction where you can.

How is that even possible? At hour 50 I already had all the ores that I could possibly need, all the skills max lvl, fishing was already worthless and the game just became pointless. There was only farming left(including animals) and infinite grinding. I don't get how people can play after that point

Miky Selisana I did catch all the legendary fish, and did a bit of the praire king, I didn't do more because it was pointless for the progression of the game. My point was that activities like fishing and mining get pointless as you progress and there's not a lot to do. Quests are also only useful in the very early game. But this is just me rambling and only my opinion, I get easily tired from games. Other people find fun in grinding intensively until you can afford a gold clock, I don't, but I kinda wish I did

Nice try simulator-man. i know that you use my ideas to feed the simulation. i wonder why mars related news pop up in the news the very next week i see a dream about colonizing it. Not brushing my teeth for 2 days? Reddit fills up with mouth health related links. Seriously you need to try harder. But don't disconnect me, i like it here. Law of attraction... tsh.. All kinds of stuff you come up with.

Stardew valley brings back that harvest moon feel. It's not just doing little chores, you want to upgrade your gear, and collect all the rarer pieces. This is what makes little simulation games fun.
