I'm so glad you went from South to North instead of the other way around. The topography, the diverse culture of the minorities, the climate, the much stronger unique culture and the beautiful old French and VN and Chinese architecture are much more obvious and prevalent in the North. Having said that, the beaches are definitely better in Central and South VN but if you have the time (3 weeks or more), going from South to North is much better. You'll depart VN with such a visual and emotional impression of the world famous sites like Phong Nha, Hue & Hoi An, Ha Noi, Sapa and Ha Giang and Ha Long Bay. It was amazing! Deffo recommended! We have some friends who did a tour with Ken’s friend and they recommended him, well he was busy and asked if we wanted to go with Ken, he was brilliant and we would deffo reccomend him, his Facebook link is in the description if you wanted to chat to him! & they picked us up from Hanoi and took us to a hostel un Ha Giang then you leave your bags there and just take small bags for the 3 days then they arrange for you to be taken back to Hanoi & thanks for watching!!🙏

@@tyandsoph The lack of health and safety was my concern when I saw all the candy that was being handed out. How did the children's teeth look? I saw something on the wiki travel page about it's better to hand out toothbrushes and tooth paste. Doesn't sound quite as exciting for children but it's better than handing them cavities indirectly i guess? Even fruit sounds better to hand out. Did it look like the children had access to dental care?

@@C00LQ Hi! I’m a dental hygienist (Soph) back home in England. Giving the children the amount of sweets we gave them won’t give them cavities. Grazing on lots of sweets throughout the day everyday would lead to cavities. We were just brightening up their day with a sweet. I totally agree that a toothbrush and toothpaste would also be a good thing to give them! I’m not sure about access to dental care, they live quite remotely so possibly not.

Just wondering if your friend actually hits her right elbow on the other girls back pack? I feel like she could be in the right placement for it to happen but the friend wearing the back pack doesn’t react which is strange you would think with a thud like that it would turn or jolt the body of the one wearing the bag 🤷‍♀️
