Haarlem - Every Coffeeshop In One Day

You’ve probably already seen my going to every coffeeshop in one day video, but a lot of people said I should check out the coffeeshops outside of Amsterdam. People are always saying it’s better outside of the city, so today I’m starting a series going to every coffeeshop in smaller towns in the Netherlands. Today we have Haarlem!

I first went to the Dam in 1978. In the UK at that time you could still get a jail sentence for possession of a 1/4 ounce of hash. The first coffee shop I ever went to was The Bulldog, the little one not the big one which came later. There were only about 6 places where you could legal buy hash at the time: The Bulldog, The Other Place, Extasie (this was before Ecstacy came on the market), Boedha's Joint Paradise on Nieuwmarket, and The Milkeveg. Can still remember sitting outside The Bulldog with my first spliff, knowing that it was all legal and I didn't need to worry about the cops. Thanks for the memories.

@@drevil3606 Used to go back regularly in the eighties and early nineties, then didn't go back until about 2010 with the Mrs who hadn't been before. Changed a lot, and not for the better. The night time scene had a very nasty edge to it. If anybody wants to have the Dam experience more like it used to be, try Utrecht. Smaller than the Dam but you can still buy a smoke and look at the naughty ladies in the windows, but it's all a lot more laid back.

"Yock" "Jochk" something like that was like "Ya know I normally hate the english but you guys are alright" We felt so honoured he gave us free shots! We aint all bad. Amsterdam sucked.

At Harlem I bought the most psychedelic bud I ever had, it was a white bud as it was full of tricks called Brainstorm. Me and my friends came out floating from the coffee which I forgot the name.

Here in Canada 🇨🇦 every single dispensary I’ve been to since it became federally legal in 2018 has no showing of the bud or even smelling it of course 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️, it’s so regulated here . If you want to see how it looks like you would have to go to the dispensary site . This is why I been growing my own now for two years and I’m actually going to harvest this week as I grow indoors .

Abraxas had prerolls when i was there last time and it was the strogest "house special" weed i've tried in Amsterdam. Friendly staff and a cosy nice place to hang out, fyi also great coffee. Recommended

Harlem is a wealthy town, lovely place. Lived there for a year. White widow was my regular smoke from high times. Smaller towns with no coffee shops will have dealers in them. Great place

Haarlem has been favourite city for about 7 years ....Empire has a wkd local vibe see the same faces after all these years and regine has always had the best bud....they got some link up with buerojongens now I think and changed name. The bud ain't cheaper or better but I like the vibe. Digs defo cheaper than the dam and only 15 min train ride. Also Zandvoort and Bloemondaal are only 10 mins away and the beaches are wkd beach in the summer. Yanks is cool too. Leiden is another gem on a summer night shops only open after 5pm but some wkd spots. Utrecht got the culture boat and one or two other nice spots and a nice town I used to go there a lot until I went to Haarlem. But hands down the best bud in the country for me is Den Haag. Cremers and the Dizzy duck kill it 🤙 Saying that went to Arnhem to see the bridge once and bought some 10g orange bud and it mashed me 😑 took me by surprise 😅

you should check out Headlines in Zaandam. There's a few others about but for years they consistently had the best quality I've ever seen in the Netherlands, hopefully its not gone down hill along with the rest of the coffee shop scene there.

Should check out Maastricht shops tbh. Stop by Skunk/Relax in Sittard on the way (literally outside the trainstation) and grab the Gary Peyton. Stay away from the Amnesia or any of the 11 euro buds. If nothing tickles your fancy there, theres some pretty decent food if you walk further down towards the center like Bufkes and this hole in the wall chicken shop that is absolutely amazing. Or grab a turkish pizza at the Döner company in the station itself. Maastricht-wise, Missisippi is a tourist trap...lots of Morroccan chaps trying to sell u garbage as well. Smoky is pretty nice tho (the boat next to it). Shitty thing about border-shops though is you need a Dutch ID card. Even if you have a dutch mate with an ID, you will need your own to get in there. Yet that dutch mate could just walk in and grab whatever you want for you.

I recommend going where the houses are more expensive, it often means the weed is better quality aswell. Next time you're in the netherlands you should visit Bussum. Not to far from amsterdam and really high quality stuff. One time i had some sunflower type weed which was the most natural tasting weed i ever smoked and yeah it did taste like eating a sunflower.

I used to live in Ijmuiden, it's next to Haarlem, I was there for 7 years there's a really small coffee shop, known as the smallest in the world in Haarlem, it's just off the main square I think you might have passed it, that's where i always went when i was there, it's good and others got there too, that was 14 years ago it might still be there.

When you're in the netherlands again try Groningen and/or Leeuwarden. nothing beats the north. Lot of coffeeshops and great great bud.

Anyone visiting Haarlem i recommend the 'Sandman'. They sell pre packaged stuff its always 1 or 2 gr ir total conbination up to 5gr. And only take away, theyve closed the smoking area. Also 'Regine' has undergone improvement, its good potent stuff especially their hashes. For edibles i recommend the 'Takeaway'. If not for them shops id take my money to Boerenjongens in amsterdam. Next to Sloterdijk station is easy to reach. 5minute walk. Only take away but massive shop, and topnotch quality everything. Even better than anything in Haarlem.
