By the way: what's the probe wrist angle range and angle increment? Years back I used TESA with Renishaw's wrist and increments were by 7.5° which felt very limiting. Now I use HH-AS that works by 5° and even that is pretty rough sometimes.

TP20 probes. Short lifespan, no linear scanning, touch force dictated by probe construction. Maybe I'll sound like an advertisement, but Hexagon's PC-DMIS (especially v.2024.2 and later) clicks better with me than anything else on the market rn. It may feel like it's meant for power user but nifty little features like setting up custom measurement strategies, automated routine creation from PMIs or even details like selecting prehit/retract to feature vector or probe vector really makes programming easy and streamlined even without using clearance planes and move waypoints. It's tough to beat Hexagon.

I think you are missing the point of this machine. It is a shop floor CMM priced affordably which enables a lower bar for entry into the CMM world. The license you are talking about would be about a third of the price of the HMM430, coming in around $15k for the license. This is not an inspection room queen with all the latest and greatest features.

I'd go Zeiss + Callypso personally.
